Luckily we're not CL-material.
-
I played (for fun) with Vegar Hedenstad, Norwegian international and Freiburg full-back. He also supports Newcastle
-
I didn't mean in a footballing sense, there is no doubt that he is a brilliant footballer, however big an idiot he is. I meant in light of the "Januzaj-discussion". Correct me if I am mistaken, but he moved to Spain when he was 19? Surely, that does not make him Spanish, and he should play for Brazil. In my view.

Not good. Do you want him?

My little cousin is 5 foot 8 and about 100 kg at nine. Useless fat man unfortunately. Maybe humans are evolving, because he wouldn't standout in a rich country at that size. People are massive where nourishment is overly abundant. Don't want to turn this into a discussion on your cousins size, but he would definitely stand out in most "Rich" countries. Well, mostly America I meant. America is land of the beasts. So many people there are tall and/or massive from a young age. Fair enough, I don't know much about that apart than their reputation for being fat. To you other post; are these things happening in Africa from tim to time, or is it increasing? I of course remember the Togo-incident, and the Ivory Coast - Senegal from last year, but apart from that I haven't heard of much.
-
Would you call it a glory hunter if you start supporting as a kid, even if you pick a good team?
-
This guy wins. They won, I was at my best then... The only thing i can brag about..! Do you know how many of these guys made it to Eliteserien? I don't recognize many names, only Olsen and Strand. And out of curiosity, do you remember anything in particular from the now world-class dutch players?

Played him as well, had the pleasure of knocking his team out of a two-legged tourney. He was a striker at the time, but not all that. I also met the best player i've ever played in that tournament, Glenn Roberts, he was a fucking beast, but amounted to nothing. I also beat Norwegian international Moa (now Stuttgart) and his little brother Mos (FC Copenhagen) in poker.

For the name, if nothing else.
-
Absolutely this Amokachi! He was my favorite player for a short while when I was a kid, because of an older guy telling me he was good. Don't think I have ever seen him play to this day and still remember him fondly . His countryman Okocha was fantastic though, but he is hardly uncool or unusual. Mart Poom - for his looks and name. Flamini - love me that hard man

Agreed. For me the ultimate footballer crush is/was Tim Cahill. Really disliked his bust-up with Cabaye, which he seemed to have every reason for. For a while I also really enjoyed Cameron Jerome, must have seen his one good game thought it to be representative.

I asked a ManU-fan last week which of their players he thought surpassed Ben Arfa, not as a footballer on the whole, but the way he brings excitement and hope for that something special every time he has the ball. He thought that was an easy one and right of the bat went; "Kagawa, RVP, Rooney, Nani, Young, Valencia, Chicharito." You can say that discussion became pretty heated, fucking bellend

Got a friend like this. He has a Norwegian team, but not yet decided (!!!!) on one in PL. Right now it's Tottenham and Arsenal, with Man City on the side. Gets angry when I don't take him seriously.

Supposedly, this is how the clubs have responded to the Stonewall initiative: ARSENAL: Maybe ASTON VILLA: Maybe CARDIFF: Maybe CHELSEA: Players choose for themselves CRYSTAL PALACE: Players choose for themselves EVERTON: Yes FULHAM: Players choose for themselves HULL: Players choose for themselves LIVERPOOL: No MAN CITY: Players choose for themselves MAN UTD: No NEWCASTLE: Players choose for themselves NORWICH: No SOUTHAMPTON: No STOKE: Maybe SUNDERLAND: No SWANSEA: No TOTTENHAM: No WEST BROM: Maybe WEST HAM: No So no means that the players are not allowed to do this, even if they want to. I can understand that the clubs wont force it upon they're players, even if this is something everyone should be perfectly fine with (apart from the odd superstition), but refusing the players to do this is just plain wrong. I think.

Not unnoticed. He is lightning fast, made it look like nothing. If it was Tayls there, Weimann would be 1v1 with Krul.
-
100%. Was thinking that when he was as QPR, and saw glimpses of it vs. Fulham. Hopefully he left his dick-tendencies in London
-
When JK was appointed I expected him to fail PDC style - buying a shit load of horrible players he thought were good, and then blame Pardew when he didn't get anything out of them or something. I was wrong.
-
Agreed, therefore the rumours of him being set on OM might be exaggerated. Or the tweets is utter bullshit. Or both.
-
Fuck Arsenal. Fuck Wenger.
-
He wouldn't be the first one to say that and still end up at a club without European football. Agreed, but if he seemed pretty adamant, and Ajax has CL themselves. Don't know of his contract situation, or if Ajax wants to cash in though.
-
Alderweireld ruled out going to a club that wasn't going to play in Europe a couple of months ago. Was a fair few quotes on that, so I'd be surprised if he came here
-
I've heard that as well, don't know if it's still true though.

Or Kinnear just doesn't want Boulahrouz From GFN; "According to the Daily Mail, Aston Villa could soon make an offer in the region of £3 million for the player, which is definitely close to Sochaux’s estimation of him."
