Yohan Cabaye (now sporting coordinator at Paris Saint-Germain)

Well he has built up a reputation already, that fact that he can have an entire s**** season and still have rumours linking him to man utd etc tells you he doesnt need to try. Like previous poster said, we are most likely a stepping stone for his career in his mind. I think most of us never thought he choose to join us because me might have ideas of spending the rest of his career at nufc. -
Come on, anyone would look small next to Carew

Yep it wont matter if the entire first team leaves, according to some here, none of them are good enough. -

This. Whether Cabaye is good enough for man utd or not is beside the point. If they want him, they can get him, history has shown many players had signed for Man Utd that were simply not good enough. -

Depends who you are, some sportsmen like to raise their profiles for whatever reasons, endorsements, sponsorship etc etc. some are just plain media whores. -

yeh maybe, but then they are endangering themselves into sounding like a parrot everytime someone ask them about another club. -

Players gets asked questions during interviews, what do you expect them to say? Interviewer:"Do you think it would great to play for a club like Manchester United?" Player: "No it would be horrible." I expect them to not walk into such an obvious trap, they don't have to answer any question they are asked. The journalist may aswell say "we want to write a story linking you with Man Utd, you up for it?" He didnt walk into a trap, he is just being courteous. If you agree to an interview and then refuse to answer questions then it make you look a bit silly. -

Just being on the man utd bench would make him an automatic start for France. So it's a good move for him. carrick is not going to play every game . They got prem games, champ league and all the domestic cup games. He'll get his chances. -

I've sort of resigned myself to taking next season off as well because I find it hard to get excited about our prospects. Obviously I'll still look forward to the games but I'm treating it like a gap year at Uni. Just like any other year then since Bobby left.

Any agent would do the same keeping options open for their clients. Wouldn't be doing their jobs if they didn't. -

Good luck to the boy I say. Can't blame any of our players if they get the chance to play there. -

passed his best, just like shearer. kluivert needed bellamy's legs. to say kluivert has no fitness problems is like Shearer still had his legs.
-
definitely could have been in better shape, but his fitness was the main problem, was terrible much like nolan. http://www.nufcfans.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/nufcfans_patrick_kluivert_newcastle_united_striker_racism.jpg

Yep another fat Fred's marquee name trophy signing, just like Owen. It's like fat Fred and the halls had to constantly convince the fans we were still major players like mufc that's why we payed extortionate wages for these so called big names. It was embarrassing. Kluivert actually did OK for us. Was poorly managed, funnily enough. Yeh poorly managed pie consumption.

Fat c*** Micky Quinn is now getting in on the act, really can stand that bloke. I grabbed Craig by the neck and pinned him against the wall This was a few years ago now and I had been at a game at St James’ Park as guest of honour at the club. Craig was a Newcastle player, but hadn’t scored for about 10 games and that had made a few unwelcome headlines. That day he missed half a dozen good chances. It was one of those games – we played Birmingham – when he could have played for a week and not scored. It happens to the best of us. So fast forward a few hours post- match and I’m with some pals having a drink in one of Newcastle’s classier establishments. Craig’s minder – a minder! – came over and asked me if I want to join his company. So I went over to say hello. I told Craig to keep his head up, he would score goals again, that he was a terrific player and not to let this run get him down. And then I said; “Now if you have a couple of free hours, let me tell you about all my Newcastle goals.” The wee man didn’t like that. It was just a joke! He seemed to feel indignant because, in his words: “I asked you to come over and talk to me.” As if he was doing me a favour. So I grabbed him by the neck and had him up against the wall. I was livid with the cheeky wee sod. I told him what I thought of his kind invitation to grant me some time in his exalted company. It all calmed down, as these things tend to do, and within an hour Craig walked over to us and was the nicest fella you could ever hope to meet. He was polite, funny, courteous and even a little shy. We had a nice time and not once did I feel the urge to strangle him. But there was something inside him, a switch if you like, that turned him into a nasty piece of work at times.

Pride and Pardew doesn't really go in the same sentence, you would know that by now judging by the poor waffle he comes out with after each game. Cant blame him really for his lack of pride most people would be very happy being paid handsomely just to be a PR man of a football club. He's an awful PR man as you said yourself though, why would he be kept on for that reason? Doesn't really make sense. When did I say that? He is a terrific PR man, got press believing he is top dog of north east. Any other manager would be facing the mob squad after the season he had. But Pardew to his credit can get press on his side. Well you said he comes out with poor waffle after each game. And almost everyone destroys everything he says, don't they? Hardly the skills of someone that Mike Ashley would employ for PR reasons, or someone that the press would believe hook, line and sinker. Poor waffle to whom? To the press is not poor waffle, they buy it, to us nufc fans that actually watch the game knows better. Newcastle online destroys everything he says, the press does not. Like you said hook, line and sinker.

Except Pardew doesn't have control over signings. Which you already know I suppose. Yeh but he can hope, like when he got us obertan At least he has control of how the team plays.

Glad the fraud is only limited to a pair of 6ft 4" beanpoles before he gets the push. One Carroll type striker and another lanky Williamson lookalike incoming. Zero service
