not if its been put in by Pardew. think the word cowboy springs to mind. it'll probably fall off its hinges if someone walked past and farted.

It's also the air of complacency and demotivation that all this negative talk creates that winds me up. Get after the fuckin players!! Demand performances! Throw some fukin teacups around!!! It's all the backwards how he carries on. All he ends up doing is soing seeds of doubt in the players before a ball has been kicked in anger. Just sick of it all. His pre and post match talks are just so bizzare there isn't even a category I can assign them. he's not always negative , these are examples. "I don't care if we finish one from bottom, I really don't. If we can get over the line, our fans know we have a good group of players. When everybody is fit and we can get one or two new signings in there we are a top-ten team." "It would have been easy for them to come to West Brom and be ready to criticise us or be negative, but they weren't and that helped us. Our fans behind the goal gave us a boost before the game and their response was terrific. I really want to thank them for that."

You don't think Pardew could have been getting the best out of the players he had at his disposal? I think in doing that he bought himself the opportunity to see if he can do it with the better players we bought in January. Once they're up to the pace of the game and understanding starts to build I like to think performances will come. No I do not.

67 long balls per game last season. Pretty close to what we were hittting before the new year. Course, people don't complain about it while we're winning. Well you're wrong there. It's more accurate to say that people get laughed at for complaining while we're winning. Now we're losing. 67 long balls per game last season. Pretty close to what we were hittting before the new year. Course, people don't complain about it while we're winning. People did complain about it last season. True. I got a load of s*** for complaining about it What I should have said is people don't want him sacked for it then. That's because it would have been absurd to sack a manager when the team is getting the results. But even then there were plenty here who saw past it and voiced concerns which have turned out to be justified. I was one of them. And I'm smug about it too *straightens his tie* I remember the ones that saw though the bullshit and criticised Pardew were shot down by turds on here. There were specific turds on here claiming we were silly to want to play a more passing type in the mould of Swansea and such. Seeing they were below us and everything they refused to see it our ways and just got brought into the Pardew salesman bullcrap. I was shocked even then by the reactions, it was so obvious.

come on parky you serious? how is it still a draw? Rodgers way ahead.

I remember him mentioning a 5 of Cabaye, Sissoko, Gouffran, HBA and Cisse could be 'mouth-watering' for us, or something like that, that's the only thing that's stupidly keeping me hopeful in any way. We won't see it this season mind, by which time I imagine some players could conceivably be gone, whether we're playing in this league or not. you put your slightest hope on that? you know that means its only one injury away from being 'mouthwatering' (which is bollocks) to 'complete shower of s****' in pardew's world?
-
nevermind doing damage, if pardew has the players in the right spirit with belief, in any formation that squad of players actually has the capacity to look like a team of footballers. people say that our players seem to like Pardew?, im starting to believe that now because when you like someone and admire them, you tend to start to imitate them. like being a complete turd.

If that is the reason then its really pathetic on his part, Wigan did what any team could do on any given day. They were clinical and took their chances and we didn't.... seriously does nobody remember the abundance of chances we created that day? we could have scored 4 or 5 ourselves easily if we were clinical like Wigan were. If that is the reason he gave up on it then i don't know what to say, obviously wouldn't have saved our season or anything but would have nice to see a style of football and a system which suited the players we have on a regular basis at least. well to be fair i was actually asking the question, maybe a rhetorical one Exactly why he doesnt use the 4-3-3? the facts are there are no logical reasons behind what he does.
-
If he was put off 4-3-3 because of a couple of defeats then he would never use any formation, oh wait...... lol maybe he uses the formation that loses by the least amount of goals, percentage football. works every time.

still find it surprising that people think a formation is going to change the ability of a manager. He's certainly not going anywhere in the immediate future so maybe it's just people hoping to make the best of a bad situation? As Gallowgate Toon pointed out, in the system we played last season with a weaker set of components we played some attractive football and attained some very good results. Cabaye, Cisse and Ben Arfa looked fantastic in particular. Of course it's not the magic formula, but it might help to have people playing in their correct roles and by balancing the shape of the team out a little bit better? Of course if he did actually change back to that approach/formation then he wouldn't be viewed in such a negative manner, I'd assume, as at least he'd be trying something logical for once. for f*** sake this notion that some are still druming on about we played amazing last season at 4-3-3 formation is a nonsense. That was like less than 6 games. A handful of matches does not make a season. yet people forget we were playing teams that had nothing to play towards the end of the season in that formation, and also got spanked silly by the likes of wigan in that formation. Pardew certainly hasn't forgotten it. exactly why he doesnt use the 4-3-3.

a little bit of "i dont give a f*** anymore every time i see our team"
-
top of the league but with 3 players due back in 5 days apparently. great back to midtable mediocrity in 5 days.
-
This thread continues to astound me, Till this day we still have turds coming on here preaching about "our fans rate our squad too highly"
-
The last paragraph saves it a little bit, and there is a nice dig at sunderland. Doesnt seem massively controversial to me, just not ideal. His tactics are abysmal but these comments dont bother me too much. Would you prefer an insincere Di Canio-esque chest beating about pride? He has been honest, lets move on.... last paragragh saves it? Pardew salesman bullshit at full throttle thats what the last paragraph was.
-
oh fuck sake what has he said now?
-
The problem was the other 364 days when he was s***. shocking player. kind of like the pardew of managers on Pardew's day he's quite good. the other 364 days he just imitates a huge turd on the sidelines.

my memory is bad but did many predict the sacking of houghton?
