  1. I found it interesting how sure he was of his sources. For those who didn't hear it, he said he had the texts saved and had kept his shorthand notes etc, and that the 3-4 people were currently employed by NUFC. Also that some players had questioned Pardew's tactics - not sure if the article mentioned that. He's not exactly going to say he made it all up, but it sounded legit. Sounds pretty fishy tbh. Someone somewhere along the line feels there's a definite problem. This is elephant in the room stuff. The French contingent want to PLAY FOOTBALL. no, not the french contingent, they all want to play football, apart from one guy.
  2. 2 weeks ago Pardew said we were only 2 new signings away from a top ten side lol
  3. yep i just heard the interview, he specifically stated that the players questioned the managers tactics lol. you dont need contacts to tell you that Edwards, we already f***ing know. he also mentioned he and the telegraph offered to rewrite the story as they admit it was poor timing. lol too f***ing late we already read it.
  4. i actually think we might get something from West Ham, well certainly we wont get spanked silly. Fat Sam is not that different from Pardew, if they get a goal they will most likely sit back hopefully that will invite us onto them, oh shit i forgot we are absolutely fucking toothless in attack.
  5. Of course they care what people think, why would they have a go at the press if they didn't? They care but they also care about other things more. Maybe so, but they are just doing everything can to help starve off relegation right now, if that includes having a go at the press then they will do it, is that a bad thing? It's too late to sack the manager now.
  6. This - exactly...my view is that Llambias may have told Pardew to get the players to rubbish the story in the DT so it takes the pressure off those two. None of this makes any difference to what has happened in the past season and smacks of ar-- covering to me. We can all be sure that most of these players would be on their bikes if we go down, and my bet is that a fair few will be off anyway. There is nothing Llambias and Pardew won't do in order to deflect any blame away from them and try to stop fans thinking about scrapping their STs...... The Independent's article, comparing our record during the years before Ashley and the years since shows just how lousy we have been during his tenure although in fairness, we could not have continued the lax and suspect financial dealings of the Shepherd regime. Don't be daft man , you think they are doing this to deflect blame and pressure from themselves, I really don't they give a s*** how people see them right now. Derek certainly doesn't. I think they got more important things to worry about. Mike and Derek's first concern is their pockets, and that is avoiding relegation at all cost right now. This pr exercise is solely done because they think it actually helps the team. To be fair I don't see it doing any harm.
  7. I don't know. Bit of a damned if you do type situation, isn't it? Could have felt as if they had to say something to counter the relentless negative onslaught from the media, to satisfy the 'impressionable' section of our support. The best response would have been to say nothing at all and go and win the next game and let the press speculate as much as they want, you can't stop it. The only thing that'll make it go away is getting results. Idiot at work listened to Neville's rant on MNF and now wants every French player dropped for West Ham. Because they're French. This is an intelligent bloke, degreed and normally sensible and grounded. He wants the team picked on nationality rather than talent. This is the issue. neville man, you see these pricks that work on tv, media and radio (especially ex pros who crosses paths with current managers, players), they always go for the easy route when they list whats wrong with a club, notice they never point the finger at one person (e.i. manager). cowards.
  8. this could work for us, it could build a siege mentality "everyone is against us!" "now we must go out and prove to them they are wrong!"
  9. lol people need to lay off HBA i thought he was untouchable. i bet he forgot to have his laundry cleaned so all he had left was a psg jersey maybe he took it out of the frame.
  10. im still glad luke edwards was banned.
  11. gagging orders will not be removed from the players not until they are sold. pardew will not say anything, they will probably give him a good pay off providing he dont talk anymore smack out of his arse anymore. Thats if they sack him.
  12. i believe there are two camps split, the players and the manager/coaches.
  13. sound just like after when we got taken apart by the mackems. similar noises from the players , and then we got taken apart again by the scousers 2 weeks later.
  14. just trying to see a rough idea of how much our club can recoup once we go down thats all. Try halfing it and it'll be more accurate still be a load of meaningless bollocks. you could be right. krul 3 mill max, tiote 5 m, colo 3m, cabaye 5m , hba 8m , Cisse 6m . just those only get us 30 million, the rest i say stays if we go down.

  16. According to football transfer website “Tranfermarkt” Alan Pardew’s Newcastle United has the seventh most valuable side in the Premiership with a total estmated value of around £155 million. The six above the Magpies are Manchester City (£380 million), Manchester United (£370 million), Chelsea (£340 million), Arsenal (£250 million), Tottenham (£235 million) and Liverpool (£215 million). The closest behind Newcastle United are Everton (£120 million) and Sunderland (£105 million). Meanwhile, the Premiership paupers are Reading (£39 million) and Chris Hughton’s Norwich City (£57 million). Hence, this season so far, Pardew’s Toon predecessor has actually managed to do better with a £57 million Norwich squad (14th) than Pardew has with his £155 million Newcastle United squad (16th). http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/premier-league/startseite/wettbewerb_GB1.html http://www.nufcblog.org/2013/05/alan-pardew-in-statistics/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=alan-pardew-in-statistics#.UYF1IL2cF0Q
  17. Fergie and man utd has been doing this type of thing for years.
  18. The area around the neck is rubbish, looks cheap. Proper wongashit
  19. It's quite clear Pardew is not an admin on here for f*** sake If he was he would had made an Excuses thread. 'f***ing tired, can't admin twice in one week, was in Europe the other day', etc blah blah
  20. He'll only be injured in the championship.
  21. Too similar to Cast your vote thread I'm guessing.
  22. If you're talking currently the whole of wigans team would replace our line-up. No it wouldn't, cool hyperbole though. Anyway this is totally irrelevant. Going by current form no? Who gives a f**k about Spurs? Not me man I couldn't give a fuck, it ain't me who brought it up. Go and shoot the messenger.
