Even if it was over the line it's nice to rob the other team instead of us getting robbed all the f*cking time. -

HBA was threatening he got into great positions but his final decision be it pass or or shot was a bit iffy tonight, nothing to be concerned about he was still probably our most dangerous player for the majority of the game. On the other hand poor first half performances are becoming a worrying trend that needs to be sorted out and fast. Definitely. -

The points total is decent for the games we have had tbh, the only thing that concerns me is in every game so far we have not got going until the second half and quite frankly is the main reason we have not got more points. -

Baines was a ghost in the second half, Anita had him locked up. Anyway what is baffling me is every game this season we have been utter crap in the first half and great/much improved in the 2nd half. Why can't we just start well for once lol. -

I f***ing hope so, sorely needed. Unless he magically reminds the players that you have to press the other team when they have the ball i doubt he's going to be of any help. -

Aye, we played 4-4-2 at Spurs and at Fulham we had Best on the left and Shola upfront with Guthrie in midfield. Hardly representation of a failing system, in any case tonight's problem is not even bother to press them when they have the ball and Williamson keeps hoofing it to Cisse completely by passing the midfield. If we don't press teams and hoof then we are going to struggle no matter what. There's no point playing a system like this if your going to completely bypass the midfield. Ah, that'll be it then. Nothing to do with not having an outlet up top who can keep possession.. We don't have one though, i'm not sure what your getting at.... with the players we have it makes much more sense to pass through teams like how Everton are doing to us. Just by passing Jonas, Anita, Cabaye, Marveaux and Cabaye is idiotic and goes against the strength of the team. You went all summer saying we shouldn't be in for Carroll and 4-3-3 would be a perfect fit.. 4-3-3 is a perfect fit, if we actually use the strengths of the players and pass through teams and not completely bypass the midfield. If this is the plan for Pardew then i agree Carroll would have been good but i didn't know this. -

Because we are not pressing them and when we do get the ball we are hoofing it to Cisse. -

Unless Demba is going to magically install into the players that we have to close them down when they have the ball and not hoof it to Cisse i'm not sure what good he will do. -

What is the point of playing a system that suits all these technical players if your going to hoof it over their head ffs. -

Combination of injuries to key players, our start being a bit mixed, them starting well and Goodison always a tough place to go to i think. -

Exactly just use the superior technical ability to move them around ala stoke 3-0 ok Everton are miles better than Stoke in every way imaginable but the theory is the same. -

Could be in Pard's thinking too, with so many games there would have to be some rotation with Ba and Cisse. -
