I think it's done mainly as we aren't able to get a suitable replacement. I think he'll be gone next season but it gives us the time to get a proper recruitment team and do a thorough search. I also am convinced Liverpool don't have the head room to offer what we want without selling Nunez or Elliot. Hence the low ball offer.

I think it's more to do with how Liverpool have behaved- first unsettling Isak then buying the player we had identified as his replacement. Why should the club rush now to bring someone in just so he can get his move? Am pretty sure most the squad will be on Eddie's side
