I would be seriously annoyed - would rather sign the lad than an unknown entity.  Then they could just focus their efforts on others areas of the team.

Our form was 3rd best in the league 2nd half of season and Targett was a big part of that. Yes ok he's not a flying attacking winger back but he's a very solid, capable, consistent defender. Can't get much better than that.

Not easy to find a LB who can actually defend.  Targett is a no brainer imo.
