He looks solid like - he's totally our VvD

He is sort of dressed as though he’s landed in Newcastle and took the clothes from the first bloke he’s seen.

Not really. VvD and Dias aren't the the fastest, but they read the game really well. I do think it helps to have recovery speed somewhere in the back line though.
Agreed - need good positional awareness which negates the need for the being super quick. Something VvD has.

Sounds like Ekitike's entourage want a bigger pay day than we're offering

I don't know much about him, but there's obviously a reason we're so keen and PSG, along with Dortmund hold an interest.
In an ideal world we sign all of out first choice targets, but I'm sure the back ups will be decent too.
Exactly - the effort the club have put into sign the lad tells me he'd be a massive coup.

To be fair, Bruce was a fantastic defender and he was still absolutely clueless.
Bruce was no Maldini tbf

I don’t get why anyone thinks this window will be significantly affected by FFP. We haven’t spent anything for years.
Even if we did slightly overspend we could easily bring more money in next season or the one after.
Agreed - and I bet we will be spreading the fees over several years which will lessen the impact, and is probably why the deals are taking a while to negotiate.

What I've seen of Botman looks impressive, but similar to Dortmund being after Ekitike, the best defender I've ever seen rating him and trying to take him to AC Milan is a big indicator for me.
I was thinking that - Maldini will know a good defender when he sees one.

Ship has sailed for Lingard now - move on.

Buy Jesus instead

Top European talent hasn’t signed yet, but he already wants a plan for when he leaves and we’d only be left with a paltry £70m transfer fee.
Worrying.
Don't worry - when he sees the calibre of player we'll be bringing in over the next two years, Milan will be a distant memory.

We've gone from:
Murphy - Lascelles - Clark - Ritchie
To...
Trippier - Schar - Botman - Targett
In two transfers windows.
You can add Pope to that as well.

Get agent Bruno on the case to have a word with Raphinha

We pretty much nailed it in January - am confident we will do it again this summer.

These are crap stats in the main to judge a gk.
In what way? Saves, punches, High Claims, catches - they all seem fair enough to me. Sweeper clearances is key one as well as it shows Pope comes out his box to make clearances twice as often as Dubs.
