Still early days, and they could still go on to lose / draw today, but it is really starting to look like they might finally get back in the PL. QPR were of course top after 16 games a couple of years ago and then barely stayed up in the end, so who knows, but it's looking good for them at the moment. Can't think of too many changes either, Rigg's obviously starting more matches now he's a bit older and that Mundle has looked decent, but most of it probably is having a proper manager in place.

There's of course other ways to watch, but 2 of those are on very niche platforms, and the other 2 on the more mainstream channels pretty much directly clash, so not quite as good if you don't stream and just stick to Sky / BT, although our match is obviously on Sky as well on the Sunday.

What's happened to the TNT Sports match at 12.30pm today? Usually if there's not a match on due to European matches they will have one at like 8pm on Saturday, or 12pm on Sunday or something, but they don't seem to have one this weekend. Everton vs Fulham as the sole televised PL match today isn't amazing.

Same, I've danced on the high street there many a time.

This clash of Irish champions looks all over before half time. 0-3 Shamrock.

I love the Conference League, especially with Discovery showing all the matches. I wish we were in it.

It will be interesting to see what sort of crowd they attract. I believe the below are the competitive games they have had at SJP, and the respective attendances: May 2022 - Alnwick, 22,134, Tier 4 league Nov 2022 - Barnsley, 28, 565 FA Cup April 2023 - Bradford, 24,092, Tier 3 league Feb 2024 - Portsmouth, 22,307, Tier 2 Cup semi final Plus SELA Cup friendlies in the summer of 2023 and 2024. I was thinking the time of year might impact things, but then the one in November 2 years ago was the best crowd they have attracted. Pricing could be a big factor as to whether it gets early twenties or early thirties, but it's almost certainly going to break yesterdays record either way. I've been to the last 2 matches but my brother and his 2 young sons says they aren't fussed of going this time, so I'm not sure if I'll go.

Deserved overall, but the respective keepers possibly the difference in the end. I recall a few of them were saying they're better off and in better shape with Demi when she signed and she's been awful for most of the season. https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/sunderland-afc-women.1577793/page-148#post-41034017 Changing their tune now though. https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/sunderland-afc-women-🔴⚪️-v-newcastle-united-women-⚫️⚪️-stadium-of-light-kick-off-2pm-youtube.1642510/page-11

Quite surprised to see that you can get up to 4/1 for Sunderland to win. I thought the odds would have been similar with them possibly a slight odds against favourite with being at home and in front of a big crowd. They had a poor start but beat London a couple of weeks ago and then drew away at Charlton, who I think are the favourites to win the league.

Well worked goal. Thankfully no VAR as it may well have been chalked off.

Drew 1-1 after 90 mins, so gained a point, but Everton won the shootout 3-0, so they get 2 points.

Not sure if some have lost players / investment, or if other clubs are just getting better, but Dunston aside, you couldn't say any of the other north east times are cracking eggs with sticks in the NPL east this year. 5 of the 6 are in the bottom 8, and while early days, with 4 going down this year, probably a real chance 2 or 3 of them actually drop. Bishops lost 0-4 at home, Newton Aycliffe lost 4-0 away, Ashington and Heaton also lost. We've seen Hebburn, Stockton, Marske (I know...), and Morpeth promoted from that league in recent years, Dunston competing well at the top end most years, Shildon making the playoffs in their first season, and Newton Aycliffe finished 7th last season in their first season at the level, so a lot of local clubs have found the step up manageable in recent years (at least on the pitch), but none of the 5 are finding it straightforward this year so far.

Nicely worked team goal.

Flashed up as 2-2 at Bet365.

Carlisle forum doesn't seem to be too thrilled about the appointment, but my first thoughts were that it was a decent coup for them. I guess MKs poor start to the season, or that they lost their playoff 1-8 to Crawley on agg, and were battered 5-0 in the cup, meaning they've lost 7 of their last 9, won't help, but I'd still see this as a positive move (for Carlisle). Carlisle were taken over about a year ago by Americans and have ambitions of playing in the Championship, but it's gone badly wrong for them on the pitch in that time, despite decent investment.

Wow, didn't see that coming. Good stuff.

Gerrin, marra!

Yeah, definitely released in the summer. The NUFCW twitter has Cooper down as number 12, so the broadcast have probably just messed up.

So something like --------------Moan------------- Cataldo--Potts--Cooper--Stokes --------Boddy---Furness-------- Barker-----McQuade-----Hayles ------------Andrews-------------

Assuming the post above is who you were referring to here 4 weeks ago? I thought I remembered them loaning someone from Palace as per your post and was thinking why can't the men be as accommodating, ha. The women have done a fair bit of business with Palace recently with Cataldo and PBG coming in earlier in the year.
