This post is so full of unfounded, evidenceless generalisations that it hardly warrants a reply, but I'm polite, and I enjoy a debate, so here goes......... I'll start on the parts which I agree with. Newcastle is a better city. It has better infrastructure, architecture, museums, nightlife, hospitals and university. Now to the rest. There is not a huge anti Newcastle bias in Sunderland. I live here, and have done for all of my life. As with many of these things it's magnified because it's a vocal minority who spout off. Sadly the vast majority of Mackems, like me, are rarely heard, or worse, conveniently ignored. As for the Toon Ale. If I was to produce an ale called Mackem Magic, and tried to retail it in Newcastle how do you think it sell ? Nothing to do with the people of Sunderland being petty, simply our puerile rivalry rearing it's childish head once again. Sunderland a run down area ? The area I live in is anything but ran down, and by typing such ludicrous, generalised statements simply undermines the relevant parts of your argument. As for wearing rival tops in other cities ? Have you been to the Sunderland Airshow ? There's hundreds of Newcastle tops on show, and no one gives a toss. I go there every year and I think it's quite refreshing to see all the different fans, with their families, mingling without any trouble. As for your last rant. You began by saying you didn't want to sound arrogant, which is never a good start (it's a bit like saying "with all due respect") you then come out with this :- "And that's because yous are s***, a s*** club, s*** city, s*** fans, s*** s*** s***. NUFC are s*** btw but Geordies are recognised as decent people the world" Baseless, ignorant nonsense, akin to saying all Scousers are thieves, or all Yorkshiremen are tight. It's simply not true. Well said. Much better than I could have put it.

He's surrounded by technically excellent players, no wonder he looks good. Looks the worst of the lot in my opinion and he's an average footballer. If anything, Sterling has impressed me the most, kid is looking better every day. Suarez and Sturridge aside he's been their best player this season

Hendo might be back at Wembo very soon. He's a good lad Jordan. A real good pro, doesn't drink, still visits his old school, and has his feet firmly on the ground thanks to his family. It's a shame more pro footballers aren't like him. Oh, and he's turned into a rather good footballer since he left us ! He was a rather good footballer before he left too

Created division between our own fans this has. I agree with you to an extent. Those who go each week and paid for season tickets absolutely get first dibs. No questions. The fans who have to choose games due to work, location, other commitments then if they get their hands on a ticket fair play. Over the last few weeks I've developed a great dislike for some of the people who haven't been to a game in years but are going to this. Not even as if they used to go regular then stopped in protest. I'm talking about individuals who couldn't successfully name five of our first eleven. For instance two lasses at my work who I heard talking about their trip to Wembley and the mass drinking they'll do on the day etc. Seeing genuine fans scratch around for tickets and pay extortionate prices for one while people like this have them fall in their lap because they know someone who got a share of the corporate tickets really irritates me.

Because if Newcastle got to a final then the fans and City would not look forward to the day and/or enjoy it? I don't understand how this is a small club mentality? Also we have a 40k plus average for league games? I agree some of the cup attendances have been s**** but still... Hey, you've fluked your way to a cup final, good luck, enjoy it. The fact you're taking a lot more "fans" to Wembley than bothered to turn out in Sunderland for the semi against Manchester United and more than twice the number who turned out for your FA Cup 5th round tie does however smack of small club mentality, whether you admit it or not. Everyone knows that Sunderland fans and the sycophantic north east media have a whole catalogue of excuses for your embarrassing attendances but the most widely used one for the FA Cup tie was probably the lamest yet. You were all saving for a big day out in London :-) . Using that kind of mackem logic then Man City and Arsenal fans who sold out to 48,000 and 60,000 respectively on the same day mustn't bother with Cup finals or away trips to Europe etc. Getting to a cup final is a fluke? I must have missed something. I've already agreed that attendances were s**** in previous rounds but I still don't get why it's a stick used to beat clubs with. The fans who turned up deserve their final trip. The ones who didn't will have had their reasons for not going. As I've said before I was there and I couldn't give a s*** if I was the only one in the ground. What I had an issue with was the fact that we have a small club mentality because the city and fans are getting excited at the prospect of a cup final. the week before a cup final and on a mag board, f*** off, etc etc. All my travel and hotel plans are sorted so I've got some more free time while I'm off work. Ban tbh

you lot have a real knack of making untruths reality, and that was the original point i believe Maybe the untruth that mackems make untruths the reality is the reality and we're making the untruth the reality. http://static1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20140206170346/starboundgame/images/5/5f/Ancient_aliens_guy.jpg

honestly, you can't see the difference? Enlighten me ok NUFC were born in 1992 = truth to mackems SBR was HOUNDED OUT by mags = truth to mackems 2 examples of actual things that are not true but mackems hold up like beacons of light and truth blue pop, whees keys and cheesy chips are just cultural/city pisstakes...i can't believe you can't see the difference if you said to a newcastle supporter that sunderland people don't all drink blue pop i doubt they'd argue...could you say the same for the 1992 argument? Absolutely. I don't believe Newcastle were founded in 1992. I only need to look at this board to know how highly Sir Bobby is held. I could name a lot of my friends who'd think the same. I could also direct you to a Newcastle fan I went to school with (he's from Seaham) who's first words after the derby to me were 'Go wank into your cheesy chips man' My point was that both sets of supporters have their idiots who'll take jokes, daft remarks too far and will re-write history. Do you believe we hounded out Steve Bruce because he was a Geordie?

To be fair both sets of fans have their idiots who'll do this. Cheesy chips, blue pop, whee's keys are these, mackem in milan etc etc I still don't understand why the first two are supposed to be funny/insulting. I think because it's cheap s***, uncultured food perhaps? Every takeaway in Newcastle sells cheesy chips? How did it become a Sunderland thing?

Aye, this is the worry of many Sunderland fans, myself included. The last two games that have been postponed were probably un-winnable anyway (Liverpool & Man City) but the West Brom at home game which has been postponed for the final will probably be a must win game, and if it's rescheduled at a shitty time it could cost us dearly. I think you'll find that most Sunderland fans, even the majority on SMB, by no means think we're safe. What he said

I remember something similar being said on here when we qualified for the semi final. Something along the lines of we'll get hammered off Man United and the extra fixtures will kill us in January. It didn't. yeah its looking great in the bottom 3 in Feb Far from great. But I doubt this makes a great deal of difference.

Idiocy is the correct word. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but he should've left him to Mannone. I reckon he thought he could get there but his legs couldn't manage.

Serious foul play? Didn't go for the ball and was excessive force, terrible tackle It was a definite red but excessive force and intentionally tried to take the man? I'm sorry I just don't agree.
