Are they over confident though? You would (as a mackem fan) hope they wouldn't be. They've beat us the last two times. They have got to a cup final and are starting to put in some decent league performances to get out of the relegation zone.. We've just lost our best player and are missing some other key people. I'd think they would be confident going into this, though I don't know any Sunderland fans to say for sure. Usually it doesn't take much for them to get over confident about their chances. I'm still not confident

The level of confidence on here is a lot less than I expected. Although I can understand it what with recent events. Last time we were this confident going into a derby we got well and truly humped. I'm crapping myself that something similar might happen this time around.

What a load of crap. How come slack knackers? Sounds just about perfect to me. I must say that it concerns me we might let the league form drop to concentrate on this now however to say it's a given that we'll go down is s***. Don't get me wrong we're still right in the thick of it but it's incredibly tight at the bottom and we've only lost two of the last eleven. One of those being last night when we had a goal lead from the first leg. Still a week or so of the window left to bring someone in to strengthen too. I trust Poyet and I've got a cup final to go to now. I'll remember this season for the rest of my life even if we go down as I've never been to one before. £20 a ticket? I'm sorry, I could f***ing BEG £20 in the street if I really needed to. What you mean is they would quite like to have gone but decided they had other priorities. To be honest I don't really understand why people get the hump over attendances. I was there. I enjoyed myself and wouldn't mind if I was the only one in the ground. That may well be true, but you must admit that Sunderland fans in general do seem to have something of an obsession with attendances. Additionally they love telling everyone how loyal they are, while "mags" they know never go to the games etc etc. Embarrassing attendances like tonight (and be honest it was) just make those claims look ridiculous. I know of two 'Mags' outside of internet land. One is a season ticket holder. The other doesn't go, however as he's on the same shift pattern as I am I don't blame him. Each to their own. I know two lads who would've loved to have been there tonight but just couldn't afford it.
