  1. Gervinho looking like his old self for Roma
  2. Yea I find it astounding they didn't give him the game time they needed to keep him.

I'd rather we have a more complete striker than bent tbh. Bent and cisse far too similar That'd cost money. Bent wouldn't have. Defoe has 7 in 4 starts this season too btw. Bent did cost money though, and decent wages too. I'd jump at Defoe, Bent not so much. He'd have cost a fraction of what a "complete striker" would have cost and would score just as many goals. I'm sorry I don't agree with this. Bent doesn't guarantee goals especially in a team like ours that doesn't create much. Personally speaking I'd like to see us move away from poacher types and look at players with more to their games, due to the often oceans of space between our lines we need someone who can offer more. Bent is washed up and past his best looking for yet another Gravy train to jump on the days of us signing players like that are hopefully behind us.

Bent and cisse far too similar Except Bent's been getting goals this season after a hell of a lot on here (if not the majority) were glad we didn't sign him. I'm glad we didn't sign him, 70k a week ex mackem no thank you. I'd rather we bought someone who brings more to the team and as some others have said if we can't create chances for Cisse then Bent would be in the same boat

  7. Get the point lads, my point is simply I don't give a crap where they come from as long as they are up to the job
  8. They have some crackers, i wanted us the sign that Lestienne ?, the Bruges left winger. Carr should hop over the border sometimes. Aye, we must widen our scouting anyways and why not the fricking Belguims uh It's tough Bimpy to be honest, players playing in the Belgium league are hard to judge due to the low standard overall. I think we just need to have a criteria and take it from there. Eg: we need a striker who is tall, strong and quick and then pull up a list of names from there. I guess this is where the ability of your Scouts comes in, it's their job to make the assumption a player can make the switch to the Premiership. Well it would be nice not to go French for a change. Fwiw Lukaku and Benteke were signed directly from the Belgian leagues. As was Fellaini i think. Aye he was also 18milion, can't imagine Ashley coughing up that much for anyone lol

Benteke is a monster physically but no doubt has done well

  11. He's not s*** though is he? Can't say anything now when he's scored two. Although I thought he was holding them back until then tbh. I get your point mate, Sky are overly praising him like they do with any young player who has a good game. But to be getting into the Manchester United starting line up at 18 tells me he isn't shit regardless of how I rate Moyes.
  12. The mackems favourite player Ji has entered the fray.
  13. It's a win/win is this. Sunderland win and Ball gets the job Man U win and Sunderland are 6 a drift. Wonder if they can tempt Saggy Face Redknapp to the job

    Alan Pardew

Fuck off and we'll have it
  15. He is out of contract this summer. Cheaper than he would have been a few months ago, he's our type of signing down to a tee. Aye He'd have to be about 3 million in January. His height would be useful for defending set penis' too.
  16. Got their summer signing fella to come in still like but aye I agree, they're very one paced too. They're a bit like us, dont cross it, dont really build it up that well, look like they need a bit of magic (Mutch second half). Ah i see why, Malky, Pardew's padawan learner This is exactly what I thought watching them. Then it dawned on me, we are f***ed if Remy gets injured for any amount of time. Aye, but i think we will buy a striker in January, which will help. I hope so mate. Striker has become essential again due to Cisse's poor form, I'm not sure if you'd want to take Remy off the left side given the level of his performances there. Two games left side and 4 goals, it would be a bit daft to move Remy now imo. Bring another striker in, Cisse either plays better or not at all. Back in for Gomis come January?

Doesn't it concern you we totally lose our shape in the second half and we dropped too deep which created the space for Mutch? I like your optimism but tactically the second half wasn't great from our point of view and it's hardly the first time it's happened under Pardew. Aye, it was nail biting s***. Not sure we particularly "lost" our shape. We basically played with 2 at the back first half People want the moon 0n a stick though, they want attractive attacking football with wing backs bombing forwards and creating chance after chance...but they also want a solid back line of 4 keeping shape and concentration avoiding any gaps leading to mistakes. Bayern Munich can pull that off, but I think it asks a lot of Mike Williamson et al. I'm sorry but a "footballer" playing at the highest level of the English game should be capable with the ball at his feet. FFS some keepers are better with the ball at their feet than Williamson is, this is a big issue and the fact it hasn't improved throughout his time here really points at a lack of quality coaching. And we did have shape in the first half, the shape was very aggressive due to us playing in that manner. We got tight in the first half, we pressed well high up the pitch in the first half we looked like a team in the first half. If the drop off doesn't concern you then I'll leave you in blissful ignorance sir. How do you think Cardiff's performance changed second half in comparison to the first? Of course Cardiff came out with their ears ringing second half, that's not even for debate but our levels dropped, our tactics changed. We went in at half time with an attitude of we are going to score more and keep out foot on the throttle and in the second half that mentality changed. One sure fired way to concede chances is to be indecisive, dropping deep without becoming compact, defending with width but not getting tight. This is exactly how we we're for spells in the second half and it's no different to how we defended in the first half vs Everton. As I've said if this doesn't concern you that's fine but for me personally it's a huge concern because tactically it's not good enough.

  20. Aye really goes to show how great of a manager Fergie was imo. He always made the sum of the parts perform to a much higher level than the individual ones.
