  1. Sure i read somewhere that the reason for the simpler circular badges is to do with being able to replicate easier and make them easier to recognise as a brand rather than a crest etc. Im also sure its better for disabled fans (thinking autism, sight affected here)to recognise currently looking for the articles to back this up edit: found this on a google search I know in vexillology (flag design) there’s a school of thought of simple shapes, patterns, and colors to make a flag immediately identifiable. One of the guiding tenets is people should be able to tell what the flag is even when it’s shrunken down to the size of your thumbnail. It seems like these simplified, minimalists soccer crests are aiming for the same, which helps a ton with brand identity and recognizability.
  2. We will always have a patch on the back now though with it being UEFA requirements get over it FFS
  3. defo a patch on the back from my in the know... i think we will have to get used to that being a permanent feature if its a requirement for UEFA competitions etc
  4. im getting deja-vu on this thread
  5. wonder what that was for
  6. cant they unlist it? nee bugger uses it
  7. Class video, will even let them off with New Castle Option C all day long, can we not incorporate the bandstand and terrace into the stadium somehow? Call it the bandstand end or summat and have sam fender in there pre match on the weekly. I guarantee that if the club owners offer enough money to the council and freemen to fund other projects then it will get done regardless of tree huggers and such
  8. be unbelievable that the fewm would be off the fewmometer scale
  9. would we give them the black cats bar for it?
  10. has this been shared yet? shows some alternative designs to the grandad collar for that season
  11. why is everyone against sharing with mackems for 2 year?
  12. ive been told by someone that we are exploring a new training facility up near the airport. Which to be fair makes a lot of sense as they all pretty much live in Darras Hall anyway
  13. that stuff can all be moved though hypothetically. It could be incorporated into the land around the new ground if we are going to be building an arena, fan area etc etc that can all form part of it and show the heritage times move on man, its a victorian bandstand that im guessing is rarely used and probably more used to hosting druggies and kids drinking blue wkd
  14. its probably been said but i cba to read through the thread Make the dick sit on gardening leave, fuck their £20 million or whatever, make sure he sits out of the game long enough to be well out of our business and 2 years behind where they wanted to be with him pricks
  15. agree with this, i was there last night as im working in Manchester and thought we were the better team overall Really liked the look of Darren Palmer, Harrison and Munda when he came on looked a really calm and collected player. Sanussi full of tricks but needs to hit the gym (again im aware he is only a youngun so plenty time to fill out) The 16 year old lad who scored the first 2 for city looks a real player, expect to see him on a premier league pitch soon Citys training ground and academy setup is unreal, all of their staff were so friendly and down to earth as well Papa Heskey was also there watching his bairn
  16. its a shame they built on the brewery site in hindsight with the helix etc that whole area would have been canny but we were taken over 10 year too late
  17. I am sure we could incorporate it into the build if it led up to the new stadium Fanzones Family Zones for picnics etc Memory garden/walk for those fans and players no longer with us Sensory spaces for kids etc Football themed playground etc etc etc it would be used all year round
  18. I do and im sure there are ways around that Plus its not the whole park, just a bit of it
  19. Loan with an obligation to buy :-)
  20. But the issues they had are the same Unable to improve current stadium due to location/footprint In need of more modern facilities including Hospitality options that bring the big money in tired (grey and dirty in our case) stadium that doesnt fit with the ambitions and aspirations of the clubs owners Clubs like Liverpool and Citeh have been able to expand on their current locations because they have the available footprint to expand and reconfigure while remaining where they are. Unfortunately for us and exactly like that excellent Buffalo Bills documentary above, the cost of renovating and expanding SJP is just not cost effective and will be more than likely prohibitive to our progress
  21. just off the top of my head these are all the teams i can think of that have had new or major major upgrades in the last 25 year UK Southampton Smoggies Mackems Man Citeh Leicester Arsenal Derby Bolton West Ham Spurs* Brighton Everton** Coventry Luton** Swansea Cardiff * built over old stadium ** coming soon Theres many more in europe built for world cups and euros which as we are host city we can surely leverage Bayern Munich? Schalke Marseille PSG? Milan are getting a new one Juve Atletico Madrid Barca Real Madrid Think we need to wake up and realise we cant stay glued to SJP and its limitations if we want to move forward
  22. We need a new stadium like EDIT: On leazes park though, nowhere else
  23. But they have a tunnel club, multiple corporate clubs and areas and sponsorships that enable them to keep those ticket prices low. They wouldnt have been able to do that at Maine Road and i would hope that if we had some oil billiionaire paying 100k for a box at our stadium then it would mean my tickets would stay around the same price it is now. BUT we cant ever expect that without a massive revamp of our stadium or a completely new stadium that is configured with all of the above in mind and tbh im leaning more and more towards that
