Posted just before that we managed the 2nd half really badly that night. Should probably have scored in the first half, but we then don't create anything 2nd half and they go down to 10 men in like the 80th minute when there was going to be like 15 minutes of stoppage time yet they were the ones that nicked it. We're a far better side now though, so fingers crossed. I'm going n'al.

I agree but that Spurs game is the only evening home match they've taken a point from all season. And Spurs were a disgrace that night, yet were 2 minutes from winning it.
-
I don't know how they are or will be for injuries by the time our game comes around next Thursday but assuming we're all fine as well and we play the match and not the occasion we'll put them away.
-
We just can't get brought down to their level like we were in the 2nd half in the game at Goodison last season. We managed that terribly, but we're a much better side now and they're in just as serious bother as they were then. I thought they'd win yesterday and their run in looks awful so a good start from us and an early goal may turn the crowd.

Ankle issue is knacking Bruno. Certainly did yesterday in hindsight, thought it was just an well below subpar performance like the entire team but if he's unable to keep up with the press then that's an issue, especially against better sides. As soon as we can afford to we need to get him under the knife.

Beat Spurs and three of Everton, Southampton, Leeds and Leicester whilst avoiding defeat to Brighton at least will do it. My maths is shite but I think that would mean that Spurs, Liverpool, Villa and Brighton would have to win all of their remaining games assuming we got those results in order to catch or overtake us.
-
Probably 8 atm. 9 if we beat Spurs, 10 if we get 9 points from the next 3.
-
These Tory nonces back above us. Disgusting scenes.
-
Game owa. Who'd have known that playing without a midfield wouldn't be a good idea.
-
It's swings and roundabouts, they're all as shite as each other. We've had a win robbed from us by VAR at home to Palace and if not for Isak's pen against Forest it would've robbed 2 wins, 4 points from us.
-
Don't buy big 6 corruption patter personally but I'm assuming those 'VAR decisions' don't include absolute clear and obvious errors that haven't been overturned?
-
Whilst I agree, the handball law is unfortunately different for attackers.
-
Awful from Felipe and the Forest number 28, there.

Get what you mean but given how all of our signings from abroad have done so far I'd have full faith in Howe integrating him here.
-
Man Utd had a 12 point gap in March in 1997-98, and were 5 points clear with 5 games left in 2011-12.
-
Shame. Thought he'd have got minutes here given he's on the bench.
-
What happened to Smith Rowe? Seems to never get minutes anymore?
-
Burn, Joelinton and Willock all worked together on the left to shut Saka down after we tried pressing them in the first 20 minutes but they kept getting past us. Howe changed it, I'm fine when Joelinton's on the left of the front 3 for a more defensive job like that was.

West Ham getting well and truly put to the sword, here.
-
Been to 2 aways this season, 1-4 and 1-2 wins at Fulham and Forest so fingers crossed. Looking forward to the bewws for Gordon as much as the day itself.

I agree but I actually don't mind it this time around, I'm going with my brother and will be on the piss in Liverpool with my Everton mate from my undergrad uni from the early afternoon. But aye, Ben Arfa game was the last time we played there on a Saturday. 2010-11: Saturday 3pm 2011-12: Sunday, last day of the season 2012-13: Monday night 2013-14: Monday night 2014-15: Sunday due to them being in the EL 2015-16: Tuesday night 2017-18: Monday night, was moved by Sky like 2 weeks before the game well after we sold out the allocation 2018-19: Tuesday night 2019-20: Tuesday night 2020-21: COVIDball, was Saturday 12:30pm for posterity 2021-22: Thursday night 2022-23: Thursday night And at SJP for the sake of it. 2010-11: Saturday 3pm 2011-12: Saturday 12:30pm 2012-13: Wednesday night 2013-14: Wednesday night 2014-15: Sunday 4:15pm 2015-16: Boxing Day 2017-18: Wednesday night 2018-19: Saturday 3pm 2019-20: Saturday 3pm 2020-21: COVIDball but Sunday 2pm 2021-22: Tuesday night 2022-23: Wednesday night I think it's because the PL pairs clubs that are close geographically on the fixture list for midweeks and Boxing Day, hence why our record on Boxing Day is fairly lifting as we've often got the Manchester clubs or the Liverpool clubs. Same with midweeks, but the last time we played Everton at Goodison Park in the daytime with fans allowed in the ground John Carver was in charge, our attacking 4 was Obertan, Sammy Ameobi, Gouffran and Riviere and I was 14 ffs.
-
Haven't played them there on a Saturday for almost 13 years. Had 2 Sundays since then though, the last of which was in early 2015. All others have been midweek or Monday nights.
-
If you don't think he's a predictable attacker then fairs. FWIW, I'd probably bring him back in next week assuming ASM isn't fit which he probably won't be, given Gordon's performance today.
