They definitely can as long as this all keeps up and then ramps up even if we get a few good wins as it doesn't take much to placate our home crowd now -
Dunno he hasn't spent loads at Celtic has he? Not that he needs to like, already been at two big clubs. I can just see him here if/when Benitez leaves. Has a bit of pardew arrogance and I think Ashley would probably back him a bit anyhow. I think he will leave Celtic next summer too so it's a possibility

Already preparing myself for the latest instalment of January's customary planned FA cup exit. Wankers -

Because I like reading about football in general and how the protests are getting on and the general feeling -

Get in. Sorry Tubes. I said I want us to get points just so we don't become a laughing stock and go down again and give them mackem cretins what they all want, that's all. Can't get intrested or excited about any wins this season ( other than manure as I despise them) as there is zero chance of progression so I just don't see the point. If we finish 10th again for example Rafa will stay but the squad will be weakened again so we just repeat this season until one of them leave. I went all over in both championship seasons as I foolishly thought there was hope and I would go home and away in league 2 if we had a normal owner. This current dead season I just don't see the point of any of it other than we hopefully scrape 17th or above. Cheers mike -
Channelling Tubestationatmidnight "Sacrifice your future by killing Mike Ashley. Your life for the good of NUFC is a small price to pay." If I was there or knew in advance he was there I would go mental like. My most hated person ever by a mile

Fair one. I just had to get it off my chest as I can't stand people on about which championship player to pick and about results when there is a far far bigger problem that gets let off the hook time and time again. I just fear a couple of wins and it will take all the focus off him. The only reason I want us to get points is so the likes of the mackems and all the other Newcastle haters can't all laugh at us getting relegated but that's basically the only reason Cheers mike -

Tedious is deliberating over results that mean f all until Ashley goes. If it takes a few more defeats to get more pressure on Ashley and get it toxic in the ground then that is the best thing for the club. No doubt that if we had a decent spell all the heat will be off Ashley again. Anything anti Ashley is far more important than results at this stage Finish 15th, Ashley stays on the gravy train Rafa stays and this same shit scenario replays next season too -

Like a champo team that. A good hiding and still winless in October might be what it takes to wake the sheep up, or maybe not -

Minging. Still can't even be bothered about any results and turned down a free ticket for it. All needs burning down A few wins and lower mid table and all will be forgotten and rosy again, Benitez will stay and guess who wins again -
I just wish he would do something. Instead we have a dead season aiming for 17th and have to wait until May at the earliest for anything to kick off
-
To be fair if he is willing to sign on and suffer another x amount of years of this just in the hope that eventually Ashley sells then yeah he must really really want to be the one to win something here
-
I reckon given a decent owner Keegan probably could get us going again, although to what extent is debatable considering the game has moved on, and even he admitted he didn't have much time for the tactical side of it. But the point is I don't want to be wondering 'what if...' when Benitez leaves. I really want to see what he could do with a supportive owner as I reckon he would win a trophy given three or four years with some decent funds. I do too but getting a supportive owner isn't going to happen for him is it. I loved Benitez and chanted his name all around the country these last 2 years. I only ever said I want him to go for his own sake. If he leaves and comes out swinging at Ashley in May then fair enough but I reckon he will sign on for some more shaftings. If he truly did get us he wouldn't be throwing cup games like the rotten days
-
Of course he could football is football they aren't playing with a different sized ball or goals than 96. I just don't get all the Benitez love anymore. What will the reaction be when he stays and continues to put up with even more of this bollocks and oversees a few more early cup exits? If he is leaving just come out and say it. Just a total dead season with everyone in limbo and no in ground protests and still near enough 52k crowds
-
The majority prefer Benitez though
-
Yeah, who are you quoting there? Pretty much all this board and Newcastle fans in March 2016
-
Is this a joke? How would it be? Has he been repeatedly shafted? Yes. Is he putting up with a shoddy version of nufc? Yes. Overseen feeble early cup exits? Yes. You've missed the point a bit there. I'm asking whether you're joking with the 'loved as much as Benitez' thing. Well he doesn't seem to be
-
"If Rafa is still here then that means things are getting done properly as he won't stand for any rubbish"

He's barely done anything man and he's going nowhere

Send me the link and I'll add to it. Keegan is done as a manager. He shouldn't even be connected to the club in any way as he is too different from Rafa. Wouldn't want his football ideology to undermine Rafas work. You stupid sod
