  1. aye it was the same one. We had Milner and I just remember us all rushing forward to the front towards the end. Was a 1230 kick off if I remember right Yes, i was drinking Vodka straight, on the train across. I was on the same train that morning as a lad who was drinking straight vodka Had the whole carriage singing one Curly Geordie Yup, that was my mate, i was the one with him, "CURLY GIVE US A SONG" ...wow..small world...we were underage so drank it out of water bottles. That was good fun...WHAADA WE THINK OF SUNDERLANDDD. Were you one of the blokes drinking magners opposite us? "MAGNERS IRISH CIDER NANANANA." Haha na we were further down the carriage. Think the Blackburn game was the main mental one. You must be gaz? Aye I was just 17 that Man City game

  4. Not. I had to pick a weekend to volunteer for weekend night duty a while back so picked this one. I was there last time we got a point there the 0-0. Think they had vassell up front. Would never have believed what's happened since that day
  5. He has stirred the fans more than anyone in a long time. I meant against Ashley. He is keeping a lot of flak off Ashely at the moment Ashely has shafted him and using him as a shield. He removes himself from the situation then it's all on Ashely which is what we need. The average match goer isn't going to kick up a fuss while Rafa is here and we are in the pl Let's be honest, none of us on here when he agreed to stay would have imagined him to have been hung out to dry like he has and still he here.
  6. I get what you are saying and I agree but I want Rafa to go as he doesn't deserve this and doesn't need this. The line when he first came was is if Rafa is still here it means everything is been done properly as he won't stand for anything less. Well he has been royally shafted big time and now hung out to dry by Ashely. Best thing he can do for himself is just leave. Like Geordiedean said people are sick to death of the club constantly chucking away our only chances to ever see us win something. This is the worst state we have been in as a club in my lifetime with no hope and nothing to get behind. We could all see before the Spurs match it was a dead season. Rafa just needs to get on with it, yes we know it's all Ashley's fault but he's been hung out to dry so either stay and get on with it or just leave now for his own good. Him been here hasn't stirred the fans against Ashley so maybe him leaving will. We have nothing to lose at this point anyhow.
  7. That was obviously going to happen though weeks ago. I said that. I barely even watched the Spurs game as it was going to be a total dead season. I knew he would be like this, he doesn't need it deserve it which is why I said it's best if he left weeks ago. Poor bloke
  8. Exactly. Obviously Ashley is 95% to blame for all of this but Rafa was bleating on about having to field a weak team in the cups and it's gonna be a long hard season etc etc. No reason not to play the best 11 last night and get through. I thought Oxford was a one off but it has happened twice since then as well. Thing is there is nothing to break. It's done, we are finished. There is zero hope. The only thing that should be happening and could make a difference is mass protests but there is zero appetite for it as most our fans don't get it and aren't that fussed about Ashley. They are just as bad as him for me for allowing it. 2pm every matchday there should be a March of thousands protesting it should go from Rosie's bar and stretch right back past the gate and march all the way up under the Milburn stand. Easy to arrange and people should be chomping at the bit for it. No chance of it happening with our fans though. I seen one mug last night interviewed wearing a fucking wonga top on about the match and zero mention of Ashley. There are another 40,000 like him and that's why Ashely gets away with it year after year. It's that simple ffs What isn't right about that like?

I thought oxford was anone off but it has happened twice since then as well You really are the most tedious cunt on the internet, aren’t you? How many times do you have to repeat the same lines as articles of faith that are in fact contestable or even fallacious? “No reason not to play our best XI” is a lie you have repeated a dozen times or more. “Rafa is doing harm by seeing out his contract” is so many different kinds of bullshit it makes me puke. So, like, every casual guest on NO knows how you feel. Thanks for sharing. Can you give it a fucking rest now? There is no reason not to play the best 11 you idiot
  10. End of the day if he had been backed in the summer the feel good factor and momentum from May would still be here, there would be no protests or infighting and last night wouldn't have happened. Only one man to blame for the current toxic atmosphere and its not Rafa
  11. Shame the club makes no money from food and drink then. Stop been argumentative for the sake of it the point is we make about 18-20m a season more in ticket revenues than Bournemouth
  12. Rafa even said he wasn't bothered about the performance. I don't know why people are judging anything on that last night as the club and Rafa himself basically said they aren't bothered about cup games

  14. That is exactly it. My mate fits that category and I tried telling him and we have had a bit of a falling out over it. Fuck him
  15. That bottom line is it. How can we though when people won't stop going and 95% won't protest?
  16. Yeah 30,000 x £30 a ticket is 900k a game. Or 17.1 million a season then adding a bit on for food and drinks for that amount of people a game is about 20m a season difference. Yeah if people are going to go then just at least make our feelings known but that's for a different debate. Suppose typing and venting on here shows I have something left, even if for now it is all just used against Ashley
  17. Yeah definitely that. He will never sell it off his own back either. We can't win. He just has his fat mits round the clubs neck. Why did it have to happen to Newcastle man! All down to our placid fans to rise up :/
  18. With Lejeune out I think a partnership of Lascelles and Fernandez (with Dummett & Yedlin either side) will see our defensive solidity of last season return. We're still okay in that department. Going forward is a concern, but even last season creating chances wasn't the problem, it was Gayle & Joselu's inability to finish them. Getting Shelvey back makes us far more competent in terms of creating chances. Joselu looks much improved which is good, as him & Rondon will be critical. Dam! I cant resist! Critical to what exactly? Coming 17th and keeping Ashley and sports direct on the gravy train. Last season I would of agreed and was desperate to stay up as I stupidly thought we could build. That boat has long gone. I'd argue if relegation meant the start of Ashley leaving it's better than staying up in this zombie state. That's how serious things are now. I've had a belly full of Ashley and a belly full of shite early cup exits Fair enough man, I see where you're coming from and respect your position, I just really don't want to see us go down and feel unconvinced of the idea that relegation spells the end of Ashley. Think about dat play-off final money, he'll be rubbing his hands at that. Ashley won't let go even if we go down again. Champo level advertising for SD is still free advertising at the end of the day, he's not giving it up unless he's forced out. I agree. The only way is huge marches and protests every week, just a massive shame I don't think we are capable

Think about dat play-off final money, he'll be rubbing his hands at that. True. Maybe I'm just riled up tonight. In calmer moments the thought of all the mackems and Media etc laughing at us going down annoys me. It just feels there is nothing even to debate now or to progress too other than see if we can come 17th and see what the reaction is towards Ashley if/when Rafa leaves
  20. Spot on howey. I would also of said that Newcastle get 30,000 plus attendances than Bournemouth and Huddersfield as well which is around 20m a season extra in ticket revenue

  22. End of the day and my last post of the night is, if after this 11 years of utter shit and disgraceful going ons if 50% of our fan base can't unite for mass protests against Ashley or to stop going to games then they deserve more early cup exits and bargain bucket shopping.
  23. Hallelujah at last then we might finally get some zombies waking up against Ashley! This all needs tearing down, hit rock bottom and get Ashley out then we can start again. Sooner that all happens the better. Anything else and we just carry on like this for 10 years Championship with a new decent owner or pl with Ashley? It might take a mackem-style plunge into League One to rid ourselves of Ashley. If it starts costing him big money, after he's asset stripped everything else, he will look to get rid. Annoyingly, we are going to have to wait another 8 months to see where last year's TV cash has disappeared to. You can bet there will be some more creative accounting going on! If the fans aren't going to wake up and unite against him then that's what it will take. That's the stage I'm at now the sooner we get this started the sooner we are rid of him. Anything else just keeps him here and us as a zombie club. Like I said even if Rafa signed a new deal tomorrow we would still be in the same situation for 3 more years due to Ashley. Surely to god at least 20,000 of our crowd feel strongly enough to march en mass pre match or not turn up to one match or go in after 30 mins.
