We as a club haven't done much in ten years either though. He's a good keeper, the best one we've got and I think we'll miss him. His distribution is incredibly frustrating. Good shot stopper when on his game, but also injured quite a bit. Not an awful goalkeeper by any stretch, but I'm just not a huge fan of him. Sels looks no better, mind!

In the first 10 games I don't think we lost, and he was alright for that small time. Then he just went madly off the boil, never seemed to use his pace.

Funny player, him. Remember when he first signed and he was canny in the first 10 games. Away to Stoke he was lethal on the break. Thought he would end up in the MLS a la Taylor.

Not a big fan of Krul myself. Great debut v Palermo, outstanding v Spurs in 2013/14 was it? And a fantastic 2011/12 season. He's been here 10 years and that is all that sticks out at club level.

My mackem supporting mate isn't too happy they didn't sign him and feels he is an upgrade on Janmaat. I remember there was some hype around him when he went to Spurs, but I can't say I've seen much of him myself. Can't be any worse defensively than Janmaat, but wonder if he will offer half as much going forward.
