When Rafa packs in, so will I. The club has went nowhere but backwards since 2007 under Mike Ashley. This is a cheap version of Newcastle United. I was born 1988, first game 1994, I'm a season ticket holder, been to a number of away games. It's just not the same now though. From 1993 until 2006 we at least tried. We had a few poor seasons, but we wantedo to achieve things. We weren't ever happy to settle for 17th. We demanded managers out if we finished outside the top 8. Christ, we even demanded Robson go after we finished 5th. Now though, it's a different entity. It's sad, but people need to stop going. Myself included. It's a shame because I thought we might do something with Rafa. I even moved to the family section and got my 7 year old Son a season ticket. We all need to stop going, simple as that. It's either that or we just turn up, raise our blood pressure and get angry that we aren't competing in cups or wanting to push on in the league.

I don't understand why people are massively shocked by this deal. It's happening because Clement and Ancelotti are good mates. He trusts Clement to develop his player and he's doing him a favour at the same time.

I don't think who Pardew is willing to sell is a measure of a player's quality tbf. It's telling that he dropped a division though, which looks to be the case for the second consecutive Summer. We wouldn't get that fee from a premier league team when he's unproven at this level. Unproven doesn't necessarily mean unsuitable though. It's all about whether Rafa's in on this as well, because I'd bet my life on him leaving if he's not and he's sold without a replacement. Certain he will walk if we leave the squad thin on the ground up front. It's suicidal. Mitro three game ban, Gayle sold...if Joselu was to get injured where do we go? Ayoze Perez? Tom Heardman?!

Lee Ryder knows nothing. Shock. I'd sell Gayle if we can sign a replacement who is more suited to this league. If we was good enough for this league, would Palace have sold him? I think he's an excellent Championship striker. I thought he might be able to get 10-15 goals this season if he stayed fit, but he hasnt looked sharp in the two games he played and we looked much better with a target man up top.

Started reading Rafa's Way last night. Great read so far, onto page 68 or so. It mentions he was alarmed by the mindset of the fans after we lost the first two games last season. He says that the club needs the fans to stick by them and trust in what they're doing. Fast forward 12 months and we've lost the first three with the cup game. It's frustrating, but I believe Rafa will see us safe if, and I know it's a big if, we can sign a couple of players in the next 6 days.

Front four are dwarves and can't win any of our numerous long balls. We may aswell go 4-4-2 and have Gayle playing off Joselu / Mitrovic. Drop Perez because he's done sod all for ages now. We're only two games in, but theres nothing to look at in our attack and think "we'll be ok once we click" because we havent even created any chances in the two games. Ritchie had that 20 yard drive, and Perez got a knock down, but that's it in two games. Awful attacking show yesterday, and the defence was suspect. Simple: Sign some fucking players.

I'd love to know what changed. Why tell Rafa he can have all the money, only to then pull the rug? It was different with Keegan. He was lied to about Dennis Wise and levels of control. Rafa has it in his contract that he is in control. Ashley can continue to withhold cash (if that is what he is doing, which seems to be the case) and Rafa can continue to slate him in the press, rightly so. He can sack Rafa and pay him up, then have the backlash of the fans. Rafa can resign, and Ashley has the backlash of the fans. Nowt is ever simple. Just back Rafa, give him the money, let him go to work. Why are we messing this man around?

Tracking a parcel which has already arrived. Kinda sums up the way our club thinks and operates. Aye exactly. The season ticket is stuck to the letter which says track your parcel, but Jan at the club said it's to track the ticket. Dont know what the delay is. I imagine mass producing car bumper stickers takes time...

I sent an email to the club yesterday, they've replied this morning. They said the tracking is for our season tickets.....not much use once we have got the season ticket in our hands with the letter. They said the packs will be sent in due course. They wouldnt "spoil the surprise" of what was in it, so still hope it's a signed nude of Rafa.
