We played Bayern in a pre-season friendly at SJP in 2003. Remember Hargreaves’s scoring a great free kick. Was 2-2.

Heard a City journalist the other day saying they are definitely interested but there is a concern about his injuries and the transfer fee they would be willing to pay would reflect that. Guess that would be a lot lower than we would want.

Well I’ve read in different reports that Man Utd want Bruno, Tonali, Anderson and Wharton and they are not going to get all of them. I can see us selling 2-3 of our big names but not all of them as the press seem to want to happen. I’ve seen Hall, Tino, Bruno, Tonali, Gordon, Woltemade, Willock, Miley, Botman and Thiaw linked with moves plus there is Trippier, Schar and Krafth out of contract. They are not all going to be leaving - just hope that doesn’t leave us with some unhappy players. I don’t think Villa have this problem as I can only think of one of their players (Rogers) that is sought after by the cartel clubs although they have other issues to deal with.

Even if Villa don’t make top 5, they can still qualify for the Champions League if they win the Europa League.

There surely can’t be anything to asset strip from `Wednesday. That club needs massive investment and a new ground and I can’t see him doing that.

The Euro pundits seem to think they are a decent side at home and that the Liverpool result is misleading (already qualified and somewhat overawed). I would think if we underestimate them, we might struggle.

According to that Craig Hope article, Paul Mitchell was the reason we didn’t sign Trafford 2 years ago. Sounds as if his negotiating style irritated Burnley.
-
Apparently they put the prices up for the game tonight - not sure if it was the top band of prices but I heard £86. Fans are struggling to pay the prices asked and the performances are not helping.

Wouldn’t be against the Conference League. A chance to improve our co-efficient and also to get better at two games a week playing against lesser team.
-
So if we get through, we could potentially being playing Chelsea in 3 consecutive games?

Before he went to Spain, it was widely reported that Gallagher did not want to leave London so no surprise that he has chosen Spurs over Villa.

Becky Langley has joined London Lionesses as Assistant First Team Coach.

Can imagine Miley continuing to play RB whilst Hall and Tino are rotating. It was thought that Hall may have picked up another injury in a recent game but he was declared fit. Whilst still decent yesterday, thought there were times he struggled so maybe there is something there. Need to bring back Tino gradually and not burn Hall out so them alternating might be a solution in the short term.

If the club thinks he is likely to leave, I would be signing his replacement next month. We need a back up anyway and Trippier might also be off in the Summer. It would give the new player time to acclimatise. We can’t have a repeat of the Isak situation last Summer.

Happened last time as well. Opened the gates eventually to let fans out who had experienced severe overcrowding on the concourse and lined up to lash out with their batons hitting any man, woman or child without any provocation. Thought there might have been some improvements in their methods after 20 years but I think they are just trying to provoke a reaction so they can get stuck in.
