Everton are just playing long ball over the top or the diagonal for Calvert Lewin on Trippier. Nothing our lads haven't seen hundreds of times and we should be far better at dealing with it.

Trippier's starting position going forward is generally too high and Murphy isn't smart enough to adjust . They're often occupying the same box of space on the right side. It's killing anything down there . Would love Howe to try Willock on the right

It's one game . Where the vast majority of the players that played looked poor and in 1st gear . We've seen games where Isak can look completely isolated with little to no service so even more difficult for an inexperienced player to make an impression. Showed for the ball and did a nice little turn to get in at one point. There's enough there to encouraged by the potential.

The season we finished 4th we went away to league 2 Tranmere and huffed and puffed our way through and never looked like a top class side. Pretty sure it was the game Krafth got his bad injury

Tactically today we were spot on. The City goal comes from Trippier diving in and as well as Gvardiol does for the goal he does get lucky with the ball going through Tonali's legs. We do also seem to be one of the few teams able to negate Haaland somewhat.

Good and bad . The good : nearly scored, made several key defensive interceptions and headers. The bad : caught in possession at least twice, this has been recurrent problem in games and needs sorting. That being said in the "big"games I'm starting him , Bruno and Tonali. I think in games where we want to break teams down more who are sitting in it should be Willock rather than big Joe.
