Foster saved both of his good shots tbf
-
How was his goal lucky? Harried the defender into a mistake, followed up his miss. He had other chances as well in the match. He’ll keep scoring because he gets chances. well, the ball deflected right into his feet
-
tbh that could happen to anyone... liability is when you punch someone just because. Also, his goal was lucky.

15 goals in 20 games is canny form like tbf. The championship goals mean nowt, he went and joined the most attacking team in the for the 2nd half of the season and managed to score the same amount of goals as Lewis Grabban got playing for the worst team in the first half of the season. Mitro got 13 PL goals to Grabbans 1. By minutes played that's a 1 in 2 goalscoring record for Mitro in the PL vs a 1 in 10 for Grabban, if you only want to count PL goals. To put things in further perspective, using only NUFC/West Brom minutes in the PL, Mitro's got 1 in 2.5 vs Rondon's 1 in 3.8. In the season we went down, Mitro was directly involved (by scoring or assisting) in 1 out of every 3 NUFC goals. To put things in even further perspective, you missed the point! This isn't an issue of Mitro v Grabban ability wise; binnsy's point was the quality of Championship teams. Someone inferior to Mitrovic playing in a worse team than Fulham, managed to score the same amount of goals as him. Again, you're like.... Binnsy’s point was that Mitro’s not proven in the PL, and that the Championship wasn’t a standard to say he’s proven because of, specifically pointing out Grabban could score the same amount of hoals in an inferior team. Hence I showed examples from Mitro’s time in the PL, versus Grabban’s time in the PL, as well as putting his stats further into context by comparing them to who we replaced him by - thus showing that by all accounts, Mitro’s already fairly proven in the PL as a goalscorer. I think that's being a bit generous, if that was the case you would have had a lot more takers when he was up for sale. This season might change that, if he goes on to score 15+ goals this season then I don't think anyone will argue. You can find everywhere that he wanted to join only Fulham and that he didn't want to consider any other clubs.

He is. And 4th in the world this summer, after CR, Plea, and Modeste. I'm shocked, really. https://www.transfermarkt.com/statistik/saisontransfers

“I told my agent, my brother, my family that this is the only club I want to join,” Mitrovic said. “We didn’t even talk. Especially after the World Cup a few clubs were interested but my heart wanted to come here and to continue where we stopped." “I didn’t talk to the other clubs. I know that I want to be here." He really wants to score against us At least we now we know why nobody else was involved in this pursuit

Jorgs performance at this WC is worse than Mitrovic's. Awful.
-
I'd take Mitrovic who doesn't fit the system over Jorg anytime

Comparing not correctly using VR to ethnic cleansing is the sort of hyperbole that I expect to see on N-O, not by an actual World Cup manager I just googled. Krstajic, their coach, was cleansed from Bosnia with his family, this was probably hard for him. But yes, too much politics. It's always a problem with the Balkans, maybe that's why Mitrovic is a hothead. Their temper is questionable. I don't know, Serbs, Croats, Bosnians in Norway are okay, other people from that region... not so much. However, I would really like them to kick Brazil out, just because of Neymar.

He's our most valuable player according to transfermarkt.co.uk , £13.5 mil.
-
Are you for real with this argument? The striker you want is 60+ mil striker. Good luck with that. I think that bigger issue is that Mitrovic doesn't want to play for us again.
-
IMO, Peru will suprise everyone. They just want it more than anyone here. They want to win, they want to give everything they have, just to win. My friend who is in Russia said that there are thousands and thousands of Peruvians in Russia. Whole country has stopped today. They've been waiting for this more than 30 years.
-
I really think that Croatia will flop. They have a great bunch of individuals, but they have a lot of inside problems. That's why Iceland was 1st and Croatia 2nd in their qualifying group. (Yup, same group in the qualifiers and at the wc )
-
I agree about his pace, but his finishing improved. I think that it will improve even more, because strikers tend to improve their finishing as older they get. And Mac says that he could do great and still be s**t, that's just insane. Imagine Mitrovic scoring against Brazil. That's something Mac can only dream about. And then Mac goes out and says "So what? He scored against brazil, that still doesn't mean his a good player." Also, Palace wants Mitrovic, and Fulham is also in that race. So they probably want to play his strenghts more than us.
-
No wonder he can't do well here, when one of our legends is always saying that he sucks. How demoralizing is that? Maybe he has some hidden agenda against him, because he never said a good word about Mitrovic.
-
3 goals and 1 assist. Not bad.
-
I think that there's a great diff in player heights. Serbia is in the 1st place when it comes to avg height at WC, 184.4. Insane.
-
yeah but the most likely thing that will happen in the world cup is he sent off so it's irrelevant imo this is getting old.

Mitrovic Zivkovic Tadic Milinkovic-Savic Matic Milivojevic I would rather face something else. They could go far if their defence does the good job. -
We shouldn't even consider selling him to a PL rival.
