We need to do like we did against Brentford a little while back. Get Barnes on to play on their backline with Isak and sacrifice the midfield a little. If we play the same system but just make the odd sub, it'll be another 90 this season without a goal for us. Unless we get lucky or Notts Forest drop a clanger. Here is hoping.

I would take a loss and someone getting a red to see him injured. I wouldn't have a problem with him, if the referee did his job properly.

Fwiw, the way we feel about this game today is exactly how the Arsenal fans felt last week.

Also, Notts Forest are not very good. They just defend in numbers, try to run it out wide and rely on lumping it to Sarge. We should be winning this easily.

We've controlled a lot of the ball, but had very, very little threat on their goal. It is standard for us with these players and this system. They've been lucky to score. Lucky the referee gave them that corner which led to the goal, when it was clearly a goal kick. Lucky the referee and VAR ignored the clear penalty on Willock. Lucky the referee has let Yates run around fouling unchecked.

Howe can get away with playing the likes of Longstaff and Gordon when we are the weaker side and need lots of running. But the second we need some technical ability, those sort of players just get in the way. Not sure I can be bothered with years of this kind of team. Needs to evolve before too long.
