I have always thought that he has been playing well within himself in order to do exactly what is being demanded by Howe. Minimal risk, focus on positioning and ball retention. He is doing it brilliantly. But with that said, I reckon he is gonna take the safety off eventually and start to make things happen and really take control of games. I can't wait. It's like those situations when he receives the ball and there is the possibility of turning into the space and either driving forward or passing through the opposition midfield. At the moment he ignores that and will just recycle possession. But I can tell he could easily play the more expensive option and chooses not to take the risk.
