  1. Generally it's not a good idea to hire your relatives because you can't be objective. They may be great or may be terrible but either way you are not going to be objective.
  2. The kid is 19 and scored quite a few in not many minutes, from the wing and also played in the CL and the Europa and they are saying he is terrible? Weird.
  3. He's much more aggressive than both Longstaff and Miley so once fit enough I could see him playing LMF/RMF.

Kind of odd that he wouldn't play in the youth set up or one of the U teams. How can he possibly be match fit now after sitting for 6 months getting splinters in his arse.
  5. Hmm not sure he will be loaned out, although it depends on whether given a fit squad if we will rotate.
  6. Barnes signing was the one I thought was dodgy. We have Gordon, Anderson, Joelinton all who can play in that position. The money would have been better spent on a proper 6 or a young up and coming striker
  7. I'm trying hard to be happy, but that was really grim. Now we have all of the midfield back except Big Joe (not including Tonali as he barely played) we should see some improvement right??? ?
  8. Sometimes you have to employ the short blanket.
  9. Given the unprecedented injury list, midfield probably needs only 1 player and I would say also a CF, maybe replacing Wilson.

    Loris Karius

What? I thought he commanded the box well and swept up well. No issues with the kicks either

I'm wondering if he was an Ashworth signing?

Is he maybe better as the sweeper keeper?

Was Burn injured at that time?
  14. Bruno is a good lad, you cant fake that.

I find it curious that he is deemed "not ready" when he started against Dortmund away.
  16. He looks decent defensively, not seen much of him going forward. Looks rapid.

    Dan Burn

Don't agree. When Trips goes forward the other side stays and vice versa. Not beyond Livro to grasp that. With Burn the obvious advantage is defending and attacking set pieces but in open play I see more disadvantages than advantages.
  18. Yeah what has made him unhappy would be interesting.
  19. Why wouldn't you alter depending on the opposition? I understand the philosophy, but you have to be pragmatic with it sometimes.
  20. That last point should be the case. However, I'm seeing BDB being caught way upfield in the opposition box. If he is supposed to be part of the three when we attack, then why the heck is he way out on the LW or in their box. Also, given we now have the second to worst defensive record since December, wouldn't that trigger a review or evolution?
  21. I'm about at the same position. I really hope to see some evolution in terms of reacting to obvious issues. Even just to confuse the opposition, changing this LB situation would seem to be an obvious tweak. I hope he can be a bit more adaptable, and fingers crossed he can otherwise that elite level will be beyond him IMO.
  22. The problem down there is that this model they have of extreme money ball doesn't seem to have been articulated very well the their fans. If I were one of them I would be wondering at what point do you stop selling the value and try and get promoted?
