Aren't they struggling with FFP? In terms of creating resources to bring new players in? Haven't heard that, if that's the case then surely they'd be wanting to sell? Yeah, maybe. Although £4m is a canny loan fee, for half a season, if he's not in the team at present and they're after some quick cash, without actually getting rid of him. I really can't see us forking out £4m for a loan fee for 15/16 games max. I can if it means he gets Benitez to sign on again and keep him up on a shoestring

But he's not prepared to do anything to make it happen? Drip feed him. Kindly release a fraction of the Mitrovic money to placate him, play off of his love for our fans and potential. Do just enough to get that contract signed, then a glorious return to net profits and spreadsheet honours. I agree he will do the bare minimum now which will placate Rafa enough to stay -
Nee chance. If he landed Rafa stays
-
What a club, can read it like a book. Customary avoidance of the fa cup 5th round by getting beat by Watford with a reserve team out then no signings. Jesus all we ask for is make the 5th round and sign 1 half decent player and even that is beyond this club
-
If its true a couple of loan signings will placate him I don't think its such a certainty he will leave as people seem to think. I really don't think it would take much to make him stay, unfortunately they wont even deliver the bare minimum.

Mikel would walk in our midfield
-
Only allowed 2 domestic loans We can have more loans from abroad. couple of cheap loans from Italy and France should see Rafa sign on
-
So on the flip side of that if he gets a couple of loan signings he will stay? He's going nowhere like
-
We are absolubtely tragic, it will be the same old of scraping round for a last minute loan next Wednesday. I don't get how it can be so hard, they have only had 5 months to prepare ffs. Obviously that's in a hypothetical world where we are a club who actually wants and tries to do deals

What is wrong with them man

This was my first thought, more lies put into the public domain by Ashley's sources, f***ing p*ss take. I have a feeling him and his cronies are already making plans to try to placate supporters for the summer already...judging by his past actions and the reactions it isn't going to be too hard for them to achieve sadly. I agree and I reckon it will happen by tricking Rafa to stay -

Na I can't see it. Not a big enough club
-
0 for me. All we have to do it get 2 less points than Cardiff and 5 less points than Fulham from now till May and we stay up I reckon 34pts with our GD keeps us up. 3 wins and 4 draws. We are safe for another year
-
33 goals now in around 140 league games. Not bad at all for a 1m striker who was 19 year old when he arrived who has been playing as a number 10 for a lot of that

From.com "Mike Ashley's appearance at the game was greeted with loud abuse during both halves, with a number of those around him in the Directors Box joining in chants of "stand up if you hate Ashley" Love that -
We have Huddersfield, Burnley, Palace, Southampton Homer and Fulham , Brighton, West Ham, Bournemouth away All winnable , we have a chance I'd add Leicester to that, they're very up and down or rather the defence seems to implode at times Everton homer too
