Hmm West Ham could probably be a big club like. I mean isn’t their beat ever league finish something like 3rd? Staggering

Our defence is good but how many are top 4-5 quality? If the new owners are going to be splashing that sort of cash it’ll be to challenge for CL places. Yes but they probably can’t. According to some football finance experts we’ll have £150,000,000 plus player sales to spend at most. Is it really a good idea to spend nearly half our budget on a player in a position we don’t need when we need 10-12 players.

Tbf to him after having re-read his initial tweets and then his responses to various people. He seems to be referring to the media's indulgence of the cans meme, rather than the fans themselves excitement over it. I still feel like he's taking his argument to extremes but it does seem to be meant in a different way to how most have initially taken it. But even still what’s the problem with the media indulging in the #cans meme? He is generally right but he needs to pick his battles better. because in his opinion the media should be asking questions about the kind of people taking over the club and their track record and not blindly cheerleading But you can separate the #cans meme as a celebration of Ashley leaving and still criticise the new custodians of the club.

Delaney spoke well on true faith podcast but think he’s wrong on this occasion. Cans is pretty harmless stuff. No need to piss on people’s chips, there will be plenty of time and reasons to criticise Newcastle fans and our club in the future.

Looking back how much of a piss take was the first time he put the club up for sale where he asked potential buyers to get i touch via e-mail on the clubs official website?
