The problem is that you will see anything positive about Saudi as Propaganda, Saudi's themselves defending their own country on twitter are being accused of being state sponsored accounts, and borderline racism against Saudi's/Arab culture seems to be looked at as progressive thinking, i repeat again that both Saudi/the region/and the world in general has a long way to go, a few years ago they were in a much worse place but they are progressing fast and MBS has a huge role to play for that,   they aren't going to turn into a country that shares all your ideals and morals overnight, maybe never, but even within your own community you will have people with widely different opinions to you, the message here is that we as people can use this bridge to better connect and understand each other, they want to do good for this club and region.

Well, I think it down to "superior white" mentality. The worldview that see anything that different from white culture as barbaric, backward, etc.

Why Bale for 70 mill when we can go for Salah for the same amount or more (assuming the takeover is real)?

    I'd be shocked though.

Some rumours say that Benitez had NUFC takeover clausul in his contract

  4. He joined a club that maybe he thought as a stepping stone for his career. Then a few months later, BAM, it turns out he joined the richest club in the world

Hi, again, I’m saudi and I’ll try to give an insight on how PIF works and why the figure (10x richer than Man City) is not accurate.

For those who expect that Saudi is in it for image (only) should read more on how PIF operates.

PIF is a sovereign fund. One of the biggest in the world (I think only behind Norway sovereign fund, but I could be wrong)

PIF is one of the main vehicles for Saudi to diversify the economy away from oil. It’s responsible for lots of the biggest projects in the world that cost huge amounts of money (you can read on NEOM, Amala, Red Sea, Qiddeyah … and many other projects inside saudi). As well as a lot of international investments (of which new castle is now one).

PIF has clear announced returns targets that they have to meet (like all other funds). Yes, it has a lot of money, but it also has a lot of projects.

Long story short, PIF expects good returns on their investments. New Castle is not a passion project of some billionaire who liked how the stadium looks or just want to show off against other rich peers. The amount of money PIF has is irrelevant because PIF will cut its losses if returns are below what’s expected.

That being said, I do expect that PIF will invest (within reason) as long as that Investment will generate returns.

I also expect that PIF will invest in the City of New Castle as a measure to maximize returns (beyond the club itself).

  6. You guys misunderstand me. I don't talk about deadwood players or useless players. NUFC should sell those players. I talk about the case like Cole or Carroll or Gascoigne, or more recently ASM. If this takeover failed, I'm sure Ashley will sell ASM to the other clubs.

Just to ask. How and when was the first indication this was on, on Wednesday apart from that Saudi/beIN settlement? Was it that private jet passenger list on the aviation thread?

Imo its when the Glazers sold their stock of Manchester Red

  8. What excited me the most about this takeover is the fact that NUFC now are the richest FC in the world. Hopefully with that status, NUFC cease to be selling club it used to be.

NUFC used to sell its star players, hot prospectful young players, and players that contribute the most for the club for money. And now that NUFC have more money that one could imagine, I hope NUFC could retain its players from other clubs. I hope, from now on when NUFC sold its players is because NUFC don't need them anymore.

    Hopefully...

I’ll talk how I wish thanks.

Ive got a lot more right about this process than the majority on here.

‘The Saudis have walked away they said’

’’The CAT case is a load of shite and will be laughed out’

’All this talk of corruption is embarrassing’

I’ve had a right laugh this week watching certain posters on here lap up the CAT case.

Yep, it quite embarrassing for some posters on here after months and months of downplaying their own club's plight, denying every positive news, and labeling any snippet of info as conspiracy.

  10. As oversea fans myself, I'm torn. Part of me want to see NUFC play on my home country. Maybe it will be my only chance for me to watch NUFC play in skin. But, the other part know that this is another nail in the coffin of football as a sport
