Dickhead move from Bruce putting pressure on through the media like that, keep it all in house surely. "Talks still ongoing, nothing to report" would suffice.
I've given Bruce nowhere near the level of stick that others have on here, but he's a fine one to talk about commitment the way he treated Sheffield Wednesday, particularly when he was having a hard time on a personal level.

tbf "Acknowledging our correspondence" could literally be anything from a detailed response to issues and points within it to getting a read receipt in outlook. The question really is do they give a toss about the contents.Dear NUST

No - both letters are private for good reason. It's not a PR exercise to make twitter happy.
The tweet explains it was an acknowledgement.
So the basic thanks for your letter we take your concerns on board it’s a confidential process blah blah blah. The tweet just makes it look like they have something extra when they blatantly don’t.
This will be exactly what it is. If it's not to make twitter aware / happy, what exactly did they tweet for? Same old, same old.

That isn't true, I certainly don't have to go looking and I don't see how it's micro-anslysing; he said it and it's right there in the one match report I read (BBC)!
It's a nothing quote and you're getting all worked up over it. It's weird.
I'm being critical of the quote for sure; saying I'm getting 'worked up' is a bit baseless - I'm just raising a point that I feel strongly about, just as anyone may raise any other point.
In the context of the win and the reignited debate about whether or not Bruce should stay on after the takeover, I'm taking issue with and pointing out that his small-time Ashleyesque attitude is one very good reason why he shouldn't even be in the debate.
Course you are being deliberately negative. If you actually watch the interview he talks about how they've told the players the focus is on catching the teams above and that they shouldn't be concerned with anyone below them. The whole interview is based around doing better than they are, the exact opposite of making do like you claim. That doesn't fit your overall agenda though, does it?

Was good again today. Been the best midfielder this season albeit the field is not a strong one.
Strange one, he probably has, but he's probably put in some of our worst individual performances of the season too.

Still no idea what his position would be, but he's definitely not the centre forward we signed him to be.
Forward in a two upfront playing a supporting role.
Strange that he's not been used in that system, but we don't really have anyone for him to play off other than Carroll who is an unreliable crock.
Out of what we've got, i'd has put ASM alongside him, but like you say, we haven't got anything really to go with. Him and Rondon would have been canny.
Definitely agree on Rondon.

He was full of praise for all the players and staff in the BBC interview, as well as all the people involved in making the changes to allow football to restart as well.

Probably agree, but he's done OK overall. Still want someone else in of the takeover goes through.

Deserves a lot of credit for today, especially given how many people were convinced we'd be short of fitness compared to the opposition. Pretty much never troubled us.
1) they had ten men
2) they played literally a couple of days ago
Neither of those things should detract from how comfortably we put them away today, unless your default is he gets no praise ever.
No it isn't? but those things obviously matter, unless you think playing a full strength team, fully fit and not knackered is somehow easier to play? keeper and a defender error for both goals? Does context not exist?
Results and performances are what matter. Both were good today. Can't have any complaints unless you're simply desperate not to give out any praise at all.

If they did indeed ignore 9 requests from the PL to help shut it down, I suppose that does make them complicit and it's also something that the PL would (understandably) find hard to move on from.
Again though, that's something all parties obviously already knew beforehand.
It's pointless trying to second guess anything right now
Very little in that report that the premier league won't have known about already. If they've been waiting on it, I would imagine it's too cover their backs if they are going to say no.

It's true that he got the phrase wrong, it's supposed to be used for Mussolini. Was the complaint about historical inaccuracy? If so then I support it, as a renowned pedant.
Or was it the actions of a weird sociopath who tries to report a journalist to his employer because what he wrote about my FOOTBALL TEAM made me have a boo boo?
No on both counts. The one of us suggesting the other should go through someone's bins shouldn't be calling anyone weird.

Definitely. Won't go down well with his fan boys though. Conversely, Luke Edwards is clearly a WUM but has been far closer to what's actually been going on, however unpopular the truth turned out to be.
