Hopefully the Trust get behind the lads at NCSL, they deserve everyone’s support.

The Council discussed whether we could assist
@NCSL1892
, I spoke with Keith Patterson who is keen to display solidarity - I have communicated our discussion back to the NUST Board as the Council are not there to make decisions, that is what the elected Board are there to do.
Doubt they will.

Isn't he just repeating what that Ben Jacobs (someone who does have an actual source) said.
He's the Telegraph's version of NUFC360
Of course he is, and like always, he's left it 24 hours before giving his "take" on it so he can get the attention from it.
-
He’s repeating what’s been said already here but it looks a bit ominous
Dunno why these lads went to the trouble of seeking the advice of skilled, independant legal professionals when they could have just asked luke who writes about footy in the paper.

I see these think they are getting Ralf Rangnick and Arsene Wenger as joint directors of football. Worrying times for Rochdale, mk dons and Accrington Stanley.

PL being perfectly reasonable - the initial deadline was way too ambitious.
Still struggling to see this progressing to a successful case before the CAT, and maintain my point on standing. PL never going to just ignore it, suspect their next move will be to argue there is no case to be had. The letter before action didn't establish standing and lacked a fair few other key items you would expect to see.
Defending the Premier League and knocking the fans group for being unreasonable. Incredible.

Literally every week with this s***. What a bore.
As boring as you?
Dunce by name......

Quotes like this boil my p*ss. No one is expecting to dominate games like we did when we had one of the best teams in the league. That doesn’t mean we can’t have an actual plan of how to attack the opposition and be solid in the process.
He's right because three goals a game would require us to have at least three shots on target a game and he can't come up with a way of achieving that either.

"The Premier League now have until next Tuesday to respond to the letter. An extension is possible, of course, but they must respond. If they don’t, this will head to the courts. There is no other way around this. The Premier League either open their books to NCSL and their significant legal team, or don’t and a date in court, in time, will be set."
Quote from Q&A with Liam in the Shields Gazette..... excuse the choice of phrase but is it as black and white as he makes it out to be?
Just doubt how seriously the PL will be taking this letter. Doubt if Dick has even read it.
Why?

everything wraith knows about this takeover you can fit on a postage stamp
He rightly slag off NUST in his show tonight. I cant believe that toothless run and got reelected.
I use to admire them right up to they meet Masters and sold over Newcastle United.
Yeah think he nailed it when he said they were more interested in recruiting new members and holding elections.
Definitely.

But Edwards had another buyer lined up the minute the Staveley deal fell through.

Sorry to post this blady f***ing c*** of a bloke in here but this really is an unbelievable tweet from a professional journalist for a national newspaper. Outright winding fans up of the club he's supposed to report on.
He's an absolute disgrace.
Why would he do this? Surely it just ramps up the animosity towards his great mate even more?

“In order to oppose the plan, we need everyone to pay us £2. Once we’ve received enough new members, we’ll recoil into a ball and not be seen again while the big 6 implement their plans with our best wishes.”
Agree with this. The Staveley thing turned into a recruitment drive and then when the time came to ask serious questions about what went on they backed right off. Same as the recruitment drive around the time Rafa left.

Proper bloke
Safe option
Can defend corner kicks
6ft 2ins
Doesn’t whinge
Ok, I’m sold.
Sounds like Hayden. Except he's a better footballer than Hayden.

Never been in this thread before. First few pages are funny.

I agree wholeheartedly with the principle that the fans have responded and acted to the fullest extent as could be reasonably expected up to now. As I said earlier in the thread, I think the Trust have done a magnificent job of being a figurehead, galvanising people, building relationships with potentially influential people like Chi and Caulkin, and following up words with actions.
But I don't see the harm in reaching out to the very people who reached out to them, for a bit of a debrief. It wouldn't exactly be uncourteous, so what's the harm? Particularly if there's anything else we can do to help. From what I could gather, Staveley spoke to Alex almost as if the Trust were a partner in this effort. I doubt she ended that conversation with "thanks, now don't contact us"?
Collectively, fans have mobilised and done things as a direct response to what she said, do they not deserve to know whether or not to stand down? Or have we just decided that? It's not like a generic, wholesale protest for the principle of ownership change - the likes of which come and go without a beginning or end; this has been very targeted around one issue.
It's been more than one conversation - the buyers know where we are - the ball is very much in their court on this.
"The response from the Premier League prompts more questions than it provides answers, not only for the Premier League but for PCP, PIF and the Reuben Brothers, as well as incumbent owner Mike Ashley.
We have one simple question for all parties involved in this takeover: As fans of Newcastle United, we simply need to know if this deal is still alive and if so what is the roadmap to completion?"
My take
Ashley is a willing seller.
The Premier League would approve it if given satisfactory answers to the concerns over control and ownership.
The buyers pulled out blaming the delays and the economic situation.
The ball therefore is in the buyers court. I don't think you need answers from all 3.
-
Have the trust seen anything to suggest that any of these potential other buyers are credible?
-
He's not a significant upgrade, but he's a better player than the likes of Hayden and I'd rather sign him than take bentaleb permanently.

Is anyone else watching this?
The takeaway so far is Thomas got the impression Masters was being genuine. He believes they were unsure who would be actually running the club. Fair enough.
They’ve then dodged or straight batted a question on whether they’ve spoken or will speak to Staveley. I think the response was “Alex isn’t here and she has his number” and they had “nothing to add on that”
Am I being a bit harsh or is that a bit s***? Unless they know more and can’t let on yet because otherwise that’s a bit s***.
As I said - Amanda has Alex's phone number - if she wants to contact NUST she knows where we are but it is not the job of NUST or Alex to go chasing Amanda Staveley.
Why not ?
They'll have canvassed their members I imagine.

*especially if it's done for good

Yeah thought the same. If they do know more they should tell people, simple as that. Certainly shouldn't be avoiding anything they've been asked.
-
Is he saying he’s not winding people up on purpose? If he doesn’t realise why he’s getting abuse he’s beyond help I’m afraid.
Truth be told, his info on the problems was a lot more accurate than what Caulkin was telling us.
-
Pleased they took on board my suggestion to release the information to everyone rather than just a members only type email. Chronicle had time to write an article on it to coincide with the email.

Like the Trust did.
Really good news this, if only for the reason that it confirms it's not all over just yet.
