Tbf when the season ended that's what the assumption would be. Both gone but Livramento stays and nobody else of importance goes. I wouldn't be surprised if two big sales happens personally, but it's important in between those sales that some significant incomings also happens.

I'm of the believe if the base behind them is more solid and they have less defensive responsibilities it will look better. Especially if the 4231 switch is made, I agree the attacking output isn't good enough but neither is the defensive side of it either. The balance is awful regardless how you slice it.

This is another thing yeah, Ramsey position in the squad should be vastly different to Camara or any in the "2" for the most part so it doesn't really matter. Ideally I would say regardless of what happens with Tonali we need one more CM and 2 versatile attackers. (one to replace Gordon) We can then talk goalkeepers, fullbacks etc.

I think it's fair to say that trying to shop in the same market as the cartel probably was a mistake yes. But at the same time that's talking what happened after the fact. If you asked me before it happened I would have considered the players gettable with CL and winning a cup etc. So I don't blame the club for it, the real mistake for me was not hiring someone in the short term to get deals done. But anyway it's done now, as long mistakes aren't repeated.

The wording is interesting to me. "Believed" implies someone has said something, which even if it were true it's probably someone being fed a whole load of lies. Clubs up and down the country can believe we're going to do XYZ but it's not necessarily going to be true. I am sure everyone in charge of the cartel clubs operation "believe" a whole bunch of things about other clubs.
