  1. It would seem with every passing week more and more people are coming to my way of thinking when it comes to EH.. I’ve thought his goose has been cooked for months now and nothing I’ve seen, even the odd win, has changed my mind. We need a change.

I like him though.. maybe not quite as much as Rafa but he’s always represented us very well so I’m annoyed that this will probably drag on long enough that the good memories will be overshadowed by the pure frustration of watching the team at the moment.

Botman has been poor since he come back... our defensive felt better when Trippier Lascelles Schar Livramento were the back four.....

However Botman is a grade A player, possibly brought back from injury a tad soon and is being chronically exposed by our midfield.

Look at Van Dijk, he was "past it". Players can come in and out of form and it tends to happen to centre backs when the team isn't playing so well.

That's now Trippier, Burn and Botman who've had terrible spells this season. Its not the individuals, or at least not solely the individuals to blame.

Liverpool had a dysfunctional midfield and their defence took the flack.. they brought in quality and now look solid again. Were the same.. our midfield and attack has been rank this season so it’s inevitable that the back line will come under more pressure.

I honestly think you’re barking up the wrong hill with the manager rotation idea, but it’s your view and that’s fine.  Can’t see it working myself.

Oh it would never happen, I’m not deluded.. but Howe is just going to tread water if he stays in as is.. if he gets sacked, takes a break and goes off to find himself, he’ll do a solid job for someone else when he decides to step back in.

I’d just rather that was something we’d have first option on.

With all due respect, this is a loonycrackers take Dr Jinx - and it was the first time you put it up.  But it’s your hill, it’s for you to die on it if you wish ;)

It’s not about dying on a hill. I think Howe is done currently.. but it’s nothing that a said time away to recharge and upskill wouldn’t fix.

But that doesn’t exist in the current way football structures work so he’ll likely just get sacked after a period of time.. it may not be the summer.. could be middle of next season and it’ll almost feel like everything he achieved was for nothing when the vibe turns on him.. and it will.

You literally called for rotating managers like a 15 year old would. It is a truly idiotic suggestion that you mentioned a few times, and so it is hard to take you seriously, man.

You just don’t get the concept. Managers that have the energy to just go again season after season are few and far between. Maybe 3 or 4 in world football.

There’s a bunch of very effective managers who can give 2/3 good seasons before fatigue kicks in.

Eddie Howe is a spent force currently but does that make him a bad manager? No it doesn’t.. I think he could do with a break though.

We sack him, someone else will benefit in a year or so.

So what if we had someone else who could come in while Eddie took on a Football Director type role.. while having the time to recharge, upskill and come back with fresh ideas.

2/3 years and that person takes up the role and Eddie steps back in.

You have a squad that never gets stale with training and a plan. It’s not a new idea.. Alex Ferguson didn’t do any of the training.. he got good coaches in and the team stayed fresh.. then changed it up every 3/4 seasons.

But no current manager will ever have a stranglehold on a club like the way SAF did and Eddie Howe is too loyal to his current team so it’ll only go one way unfortunately.

I don’t think the concept is totally unreasonable.

You’ve had some of the most bizarre takes in recent history so I am not too concerned about what you fear.

You're so incredibly dull.. possibly the most dull individual on this forum. No interesting opinions, just sit on the fence and hope life passes you by. Your repeated attempts at trying to bait are of no interest to me.. a cabbage would be more fun to engage with.

    So respectfully, fuck off.

Yeah I think he's hit his ceiling now. Feels like it's coming to a natural end at the end of the season.

I fear he’s going to be given the transfer window and we’ll blow our wad on something Bournemouth.

They were men against boys tonight and it shouldn’t be that way because our squad are anything but that..

My concern with Mitchell is he does seem to not last very long in any job, dating back to Southampton.

I can understand the Spurs mess - has anyone in a Manager or Director role not fallen out with that twat Levy? But he burnt out fairly quickly at both Leipzig and Monaco.

Edwards would be a dream, but he seems content building his own consultancy without any of the stress of being directly involved with running a club.

Edwards may be tempted. Only the owners and the senior management which included Ashworth will know the full scale of the plans..

  9. Such a horrible club. We have a rapist that happens to be a decent player.. “oh we’ll see what happens there”

Annoyed me with those comments today.

Fuck them.. double down. Ask them for 60m now. We are in the strong position here.

Good luck in your garden you fucking weasel.

  10. I assume we’ll have to change our model a bit, unless whoever comes in has an instant grasp of the structure and then just builds on it in their own way. And that’s probably for the best anyway.. you don’t want Dan Ashworth working for a competitor who knows exactly what our process is should they be going for some of the same types of players in the transfer window.

Michael Edwards Liverpool‘s old sporting director would be my choice, but it’s probably just a pipe dream as I think he said recently, he doesn’t want to be a sporting Director anymore.

Perhaps he saw the whole FFP bullshit coming down the pipeline and thought get out while the going was good.

Maybe return when things improve but a Klopless Liverpool opens up the door for other clubs

That's only two mistakes TBF, and it's without a whole team of players in crucial positions.

Same mistakes week in week out. We have gotten worse with the players that are out there.

No way that team should be losing to Bournemouth

Jinx is desperate for Howe to fail and get moved on. Been consistent and got in early with his dislike of Howe, at least. So can’t even call him knee jerk.

You’re way off there. I like Howe and I want him to succeed, I’m just not seeing improvement.. he’s getting basic stuff wrong week on week now.

Teams have figured out that just passing the ball through our flat midfield gives an opportunity to run at our defence. It happens multiple times every game now.. have we adjusted for it? Nope..

Got a pacey forward or winger? Boot it up to the left back position and watch Dan Burn curl up in the fetal position. Have we adjusted for it? Nope.

They say even Jose Mourinho is only good for 2 seasons at a club before it goes pear shaped.. why does that not apply to Eddie Howe when the signs are there?

Just because he’s not having a pop at journos, referees and other managers (or even our players) doesn’t mean he’s not mentally and emotionally spent after the achievements of the previous 2 seasons.

  14. Club being ruthless here but that’s exactly how they should in situations like this.

If we don’t get a ridiculous amount for him, it’s probably worth more to us to have him on the gardening leave for 2 years.

    Why strengthen a rival?

  15. 3 minutes ago, SUPERTOON said:

Hopefully, will stop the silly talk of him coming here.

I think he’s do a great job here. Short term appointment but if Ashworth is leaving before he’s started, it would make sense to back a manager who will just win trophies. Before they start another long term plan.

Mourinho is good for 2/3 seasons and then it goes south.

  16. With the players we have out there we are underperforming. Can't lay that at anyone other than Howe and his staff. We’re back to playing 1 game a week so fatigue shouldn’t be a factor anymore.

Our failings are purely tactical and in his choosing of personnel. It’s a huge concern going forward.
