I’m neither happy or annoyed about this. On his day he makes a difference no doubt. He needs consistency. Which at his age is doubtful but you never know, he’s not the most mature lad in the dressing room. Maybe he’ll find a level of professionalism that he hasn’t shown yet.

He's always drinking something

There was a moment in the Burnley match last weekend where the camera panned to Bruce who was drinking water.

But the bottle was sort of tilted down so he looked like a baby calf suckling at somethings teet.

Can you imagine Tino Asprilla if social media had of been a thing back then? ?

They looked knackered over the last 10 mins.

Joelinton has done well in his link up play. Be great if he got a goal, even for a bit of confidence going into the last stretch of the season.

It must be said that when the pressure is on Nigel Pearson performs very well as a manager.

I think we’d (well I’d) prefer to cling on to some hope and that this pain and misery just sort of resolves itself in one dramatic financial transaction that heralds a new day for the club. Except I’ve been wishing this for a significant chunk of my life now.

Without hope all that’s left is the reality that our already well fed parasite will continue to feed off the comatosed body that is our club for another decade or more.

Some of you might be young enough to wait this one out, others may never see another iteration of this team that you can be proud of. That’s the saddest part of it.

It’s ridiculous that we’ve allowed this to happen for so long, where is our backbone?

The Wall Street journal piece has basically disintegrated. First they said advanced talks and a deal could be completed within weeks. Then the celeb friend is brought into the story and the latest is that she brought the deal to the Saudis after meeting Staveley and she couldn’t answer any questions about returns that they asked.

And that’s where it was left.

Those journalists need to be called out on that. It’s not the daily mail they write for.

Seems like pure stubbornness from Steve Bruce not wanting to admit that he got it wrong with his loan signings.

Approached him with an open mind fully aware of his previous shortcomings as a manager.

After all, sometimes a player or a manager can just click really well with a club.

But it’s obvious now that it’s not working and never will. How long will the club let this rot continue before they hit the panic button?

If we were 4/5 points closer to the relegation places, would he still pick Joelinton?

He hires a buffoon. Gives him loads of money to spend. Buffoon gets the club relegated. Hires a brilliant manager. Complains that he can’t afford not compete with big clubs. Brilliant manager gets fed up with no financial support so quits. He then hires another buffoon and gives him loads of money.

What is his thought process?

Teams down at the bottom have some shocking fixtures left.

 

Watford’s are awful, West Ham have a pretty bad run of fixtures, so do Aston Villa, and Bournemouth.

 

In comparison our fixtures are fairly decent, the thing is though the majority of our decent fixtures start on Saturday and we really need to take advantage of them.

I agree with this. I can’t see Norwich, Watford or West Ham picking up many points between now and end of season. Villa should be just safe.

We’ll win 3 or 4 more games this season. How I’m not sure but we will. Worst Premier League side to ever stay up comfortably!
