I don't think it's Newcastle, like. This would have happened to anybody that was going to be bought out in this manner. Norwich would have got exactly the same grief, so would Sunderland, so would Liverpool, so would PSG. We just notice it more because.. well, because we're Newcastle fans at the centre of it I'm pretty sure that a lot of us would be dishing out the same sort of "ah, but you've got it at the price of your very souls" vitriol if it was another club that was getting bought.
Ultimately I agree that a good proportion of it is motivated by jealousy at what might be rather than genuine political interest and concern, though.

I'm not sure this forum will make it to the end of April tbh, needs to be done quicker

How is there supposed to be another bid on the table when it appears to be widely accepted that a multimillion pound deposit has already been agreed and paid like?

I'm not that arsed about football fwiends like, have to be honest. Being everybody's second favourite set of third rate underachievers has not scratched any itches for me.

I must admit, when there's something I don't care about I also take the time to record a video saying how little I care about it, and then upload it to YouTube.
I always feel that's one of the best ways to demonstrate my indifference for a subject.

I would be surprised if the fit and proper test included a section on What Other Folk Reckon, mind

His ghastly little homily at the end is a bit misjudged but I don't think I'd have an issue with the rest if it was a different club like. It lacks his usual subtlety but I wouldn't have expected anything other from the Guardian to be fair

I believe it to be true
(although I have no corroborative evidence and am basing my statement 100% on what I want to be true)

AyeThere's no way the PL will veto it, I don't see that they'd have grounds given Man City's very similar set-up. Pretty obvious to me that nation states shouldn't own football clubs but too late for that now.

fair point likeTo be fair, the Premier League probably want rid of him as much as we do.
I'm all aboard the believe bus now

just read that. That's me convinced

Cannot help but agree with this like I don't think anyone will be relegated this year, least of all us, but I do wish that a ceremonial first move would be to thank him for his efforts and peddle himyeah for sure but even short term i don't want that fucking oaf anywhere near the club personally, have despised him since the moment he slithered up

That's some post Yorkie largely chimes with my own point of view on this

Only a reassuring sense of confidence that it's done

He went to The People as I recall, a paper richly deserving of his particular talents
