Bottom post, their squad has still cost almost double what ours has to assemble so aye, it's still a bit of an underdog story that bitter bastards.
See how quickly they move from legitimate stuff about our owners to weird, classist digs about the city of Newcastle itself. I hate the feed the scousers chant and it’s sad to see their own fans, dismayed by sporting competition, resorting to that type of shit themselves

? I meant I was nervous for the second half during half time.
Haha, with you- me too. In fact, I missed the goal and coming in as replays showed that the entire dynamic of the half had changed to our benefit was one of my favourite moments of the season

It will be an interesting 20 minuets. Do they go for it and try to get the crowd but risk us scoring or sit back and lose some of the crowd.
Think they’ll look for set pieces in and around the box. Could do without Bruno sliding in daftly- something he does have an annoying habit of

Yeah the West Ham game they dominated after our goals and scored at the end and were looking to level up before half time without creating too much. The second half I was nervous until they imploded with the early goal. That just knocked the wind out their sales I we edged the rest of the match and got two latish goals. It didn't feel like a 5-1.
Yep, those first twenty seconds of the second half were rough on the nerves

Wishful thinking for Everton fans. I guarantee our traveling fans out-sing them all match.
Nah. Reckon they’ll make a din tonight. We just need to be professional, and it might end up working to their disadvantage. It definitely won’t be flat though. This sort of game is what they have to get charged up for these days.

Hi all.
New poster from Nairobi Kenya, and delighted to be here!
A bit of nostalgia mackem related. On this day in 2013 we beat them 1-nil with Nobby Solano scoring. It was their thirteenth loss in succession.
Hi mate, 2003, yeah?
I was in the home end for that one. Got to enjoy their aborted celebration of the equaliser at first hand.

Tell me if I should be happy about Leeds scoring in regards to Everton please boffins

I guess there's a line where some performances are unnacceptable. Our 6-1 loss to Leyton Orient comes to mind as one where every fan should have been refunded.
Not sure 6-1 away to Newcastle is one of those, but if we hadn't took our foot off the gas at 5-0 it probably would have been.
They have this exact debate on the football cliches podcast. My own feeling is once you’ve paid your money to watch a game of football, the nature of the sport you enjoy makes it impossible to guarantee a good experience. It’s not like watching an understudy- you knew the deal going in

Isak vs Rob Holding. They will probably be second at this point and the last thing they want is to be playing at SJP.
Arsenal don’t lose. Everton lose lots. I understand your point but if we’re professional enough to play games instead of occasions and focus on what we’re doing ourselves, Everton should not be considered tougher than Arsenal.

Haha, seen this loads of times, fans calling out that the players shoudl reimburse them for travelling to a bad result/defeat (in fairness, it used to be mackems).
However, this is the first time I can remember a club actually coming out and offering it!
The full statement probably had a footnote...
* All fans except those who walked out at 21 minutesFeel like it’s definitely happened in the past with clubs refunding fans

I’m not sure if I’ve already said this, but I genuinely think the away end deserves credit for the most part. They largely stayed, sang a bit. Sarcastic oles and all sorts.

Just me that would take a draw? I think this is our hardest game remaining.
Arsenal at home surely?

Have to say, like, but listening to the Spurs podcast (no particular reason) having an obviously experienced host makes a huge difference. His anger is exhilarating at times and he brings in the others expertly. Makes that canny lad we have doing ours seem hugely limited

Haven't seen any of that as yet. Plenty of talk of making it a bearpit though.
Watched them against Spurs and was distinctly underwhelmed by the atmosphere. Last year they made a racket to be fair
-
I think the problem is as with before the Brentford (5-1) and Fulham (4) games, the pre game coverage is all about how tricky a fixture it looks, before afterwards it becoming all about the soft touch the opposition were. Well, it’s one or the other lads

On Grand Old Team they seem very confident that this will be a repeat of last season and they will turn us over. The usual anti-Geordie/NUFC diatribe going on too. Please, please beat these cunts.
Are they talking about fireworks and coaches? It must be so fun supporting them. Usually before the match I have to go to the pub with my mates.
-
What do we need to do to be mathematically certain?
-
Where’s the best place to watch Newcastle in South Shields these days?
-
I hope this doesn’t make me sound like a cunt, but I always thought Caulkin was a good writer for people who, frankly, don’t read much. It’s overwrought, try hard stuff that would get laughed out of a publisher’s office if it didn’t come attached to a huge inbuilt audience.
-
I imagine even Callum Wilson was embarrassed that that was the song he went with
-
Cabaye was an incredibly tidy player built in the mould of one that fans love- compact, neat, guileful and French- but I don’t see how anybody could have him even close to Bruno, who is just screamingly, obviously elite and destined to go to the top, with either us or some other lucky bastards.
-
In whatever context it is being done, anybody singing ‘Saudi boys’ is a stupid cunt and I want nothing to do with them. Just moronic and shameful, have some fucking self-respect
