If I was cynical which I am, as Amanda S knew the deal was dead the moment PIF made the withdrawal announcement, maybe she rallied the troops in a desperate bid to prove to any new investor that she was indispensable in any new takeover bid? Imagine how gutted she would be if, after all her efforts over 3 years, a person/group came in and bought her beloved NUFC without her being involved. Maybe she was trying to ensure, as much as she could, that no-one should buy NUFC without getting her on board?

Confirmation that PIF has withrawn. I for one, will now be classing the bid as currently dead. Oh well, it was good while it lasted.

The bid has been withdrawn. The PL are no longer considering it. The matter is currently closed. Whether the pressure from the petition, MPs letters etc. leads to anything we will see. I suspect not, but I hope I am wrong on all accounts.

Trying not to be negative, but until PIF, Reuben Brothers or Amanda Staveley make a new and up-to-date statement confirming that the bid is definitely still with the Premier League awaiting a decision, imho, it's withdrawn/dormant and the PL don't need to make a decision. I hope I'm wrong.

Love this. As if being named player of a season in which the club was relegated carries any real weight (unlike him har har har). It's basically "least s***". Aye, all s***, Tim Krul, Fabricio Coloccini, Georginio Wijnaldum, Moussa Sissoko, Papiss Cisse, Jamaal Lascelles, Ayoze Perez, Cheick Tiote and Aleksandar Mitrovic.

Club's Player of the Season 2015/16 and a decent goalie in my view. Good luck to him.
