10 seasons worth of luck in one season. They should be somewhere near the bottom 3rd of the league.

A catalogue of sloppiness, poor decision making and not taking their chances. Very frustrating. Very Newcastle. -
Really don't think he'll make the grade, but would be very happy to be proved wrong.

And our Jamacian international centre forward has missed 3 really good chances, she's having a bit of a 'mare. -

Yes, 2pm, we're 35 mins underway. 0-0. On youtube and nufc.co.uk. -
I quite like the Luton left back Alfie Doughty, looks decent. Only 24.

What's happened to Elysia Boddy, she doesn't seem to have played for quite a few games? Injured, transferred? She always looked to be a very good player. Anyhow good luck to the lasses today. -
The new contract is great news, the club just needs to get him some sort of specialist athletics/movement coach to improve his running, he has such a weird style. I'm sure a specialist could unlock that extra yard he needs. I know he's young, but now's the time to do it.

The conditions aren't helping, but we are really poor. Other than Boddy (who is a very good player) are we missing any other regular 1st team players? -
They're the best team in the world and we have 12 fit 1st team players. Top effort, by us, just a shame we couldn't hold on.
-
That should have been a Rangers penalty, surely.
-
Wish you could watch the match with just crowd noise and no commentary. Edit. Or to be precise, no co-commentary.

Trippier brings back a Keegan memory for me. I knew Keegan was a class act, but I didn't truly realise how good he was until we signed him. Same for Trippier. Both top, top class players, who for me, exceeded my expectations.
-
Where are all these stars of the future young lads we've been signing recently. We look pretty poor.

An absolute masterclass of how not to play against 10 men with a 1-0 lead.
-
Howe's tactics and subs have been absolutely SHITE. He needs to take full responsibilty for this car crash of tactical ineptness.

Howe's tactics and subs have been absolutely and totally SHITE.

Guimaraes is having a torrid 2023. Apart from the odd thing, he really is a shadow of his 2022 form. Just looks like he's permanently running in treacle.
-
Left back has to be the priority for me. From what I've seen of Lacselles lately, it looks as though Howe's coaching has improved him. He seems more comfortable on the ball and his passing is better. For the moment I'd be fine with him and Burn as cover. I really rated Cucurella when he was at Brighton, but he's nowhere near as quick as I first thought. Probably wouldn't say no, but I'd prefer Tierney out of the two of them for his pace.
-
Maddison dive earns the freekick and they score from it. Same old.
-
I've never really been a Targett fan. He's just an average footballer with slightly less than average pace so he will never be good enough for a top eight team. Contrast him with Trippier who although not particularly quick, more than makes up for that with his high technical ability and speed of mind.
-
Keeping Burn as left side cover, Targett needs upgrading urgently. We need someone with athleticism, pace and an abilty to overlap. Target, unforunately, doesn't really have any of those attributes. For me, left back should be our current number one priority.
