Brighton & Hove Albion 1-1 Newcastle United - 04/05/2025

We could try passing to Murphy and let him cross the ball to Isak... I mean it might work. Seems we have over thought the game plan with players out of position -
Shame the old man only went on to bag another 120 goals after gullit left. Yes his mobility had went after his injuries but Robson worked on that straight away by buying Bellamy to do his running.

That's ignoring how much they will need to spend to get back up there. Overpaying wages to get a player to choose them over a champions League team. I remember how quick Liverpool dropped off in the 90s. -

Surely man u are not set up to miss the champions League for any length of time. And they can't keep making up shit to balance their books every year either. As soon as Spurs and Man U are in trouble I wonder if they will push for a rule change or if the remaining Big 4 will turn their backs on them. -
I'm 100 percent convinced we are just letting him do the minimum as we know the only other option is an even less mobile Wilson. As long as Isaks on the pitch his pure aura and presence allows others a little more freedom. He couldn't run against man u so just curled it in from outside the box.

Willocks peak has him bursting through the lines or running into the box... It's hard to do that when we play 16 passes around the edge of the box and try a failed cut back 90 percent of the time.

Newcastle United 5-0 Crystal Palace (16/04/25)

I think Bruno's cup final team talk has ignited the players. The players confidence has grown and grown and those with any self doubt have become twice the players they were. Barnes, Murphy, Burn and even Tino on the left have become potential England players... It reminds me of the Keegan Era when the momentum carried us from one high to the next. Even a blip against Villa will not stop this... Is this the way to Barcelona! -

Don't underestimate their focus being on the semi final. Or is it only our players whose form gets impacted by these things -
Three Brazilian internationals... Imagine if it was back when everyone of them were worldies. Ronaldo, cafu and Carlos Or Zico, Falcao and Socrates for us oldies
-
Imagine playing so long with a RW who had no right foot, couldn't cross or shoot but could run and smile all day.

This... All players being available Anderson would never have been a starter for us or developed in the way he has for Forest. And I reckon Barnes playing every game for us on the left would have produced more goals and assists then any of our other wingers... But still not be accepted. One for us oldies but Ruel Fox scored twice as many goals as Ginola but you will never hear anyone say he was better player. -
Exactly... He is that slow now it takes that long to get past the defenders
-
I'm as quilty as the next man for wearing rose tainted glasses for Wilson but sadly time catches up with everyone. Last night needed someone to be able to counter attack to make Bournemouth wary... Their defenders knew they had the measure of him
-
Right in front of me.. I thought he was pissed off with the shite lay off and just belted the ball before the defender could reach it. But after it hit the net I hundred believe he meant it lol
-
They had 3 players around him at all times but if that's the case he should have pulled them out of position to free space up for others.
