  1. Right, profit. That's what it's all about. I understand others saying it's bad for the game but as much as I love English football, it's always been about who generates the most cash. It's tough. I'm a yank who won't come in here and tell you what you as a league should or should not do. I respect it for what it is and if change happens for the better, I'm all for it.
  2. It's 100% not circumventing FFP. It's profit and loss and this team had nothing to sell while most teams do. Newcastle can only spend which is a big problem.

I would imagine you are correct.
  4. Just reach the knockout stage. Means a few 2M wins, and plus the ranking goes up to get more of the pie. And the knockout stage pie too.
  5. As they say in Mexico...Aye Yi Yi.......I'm in a totally different county so having an Arsenal, Spurs, City, Man U, Stoke along with a bunch of international shirts should be ok. I got all these PL shirts for laughs when on video conferences with the UK management team. Yes, I have 4 Newcastle shirts which get to them.
  6. I asked my former boss who is a Miami native if he could go a whole day speaking nothing but Spanish and he said "yea I could".
  7. I would say this is a big deal. With Professional Golf under their banner and a team they own now in the Champions League isn't it best for business to tone down the human rights stuff from their perspective? Maybe it's so ingrained into their culture they simply don't know how to act any other way, but with a huge spotlight on them they need to figure it out soon.
  8. Then why didn’t Eddie just play Gayle were that the case?
  9. I still say with no striker and relegation in the balance, grabbing a striker with a minimum release clause to help stay in the PL made absolute sense given Newcastle were striking out at every turn. Teams WANTED Newcastle to go down. Seemed like nobody wanted to do business. Get that new money out of here. The fact that over half that cost was sent back by Forrest made it decent deal Eddie was obviously happy with. Am I glad he's gone? Yea. Did a job.
  10. This just in, the Pope is catholic. why would they even issue that statement?
  11. I so hate to admit you are right. Right now, yes. Future, don't count on it.
  12. Fraser was my runner up for most disappointing. Wee Lad went from semi useful to "get the fuck out of here and don't come back".
  13. Player of the year is difficult. Player of the Season: Tripps (Started 37, great leader and player) Most Improved Player of the Season: Longstaff Most Disappointing Player: Targett Signing of the Season: Isak Goal of the Season: Murphy Worldie Assist of the season: Isak at Everton Game of the Season: 6-1 Spurs Moment of the Season: Final whistle against Leicester Manager rating out of 10: 10 Season rating out of 10: 9.5
  14. That's it. Grabbed an away point although it didn't matter in the least. What a season, I enjoyed every minute of it.
  15. Turns out this result didn't matter unless Fulham score in the next couple minutes.
  16. I sure am glad Chelsea fucked around in the box instead of scoring like they should have.
  17. When I was 17 I was playing bass and drinking beer, this lad is playing in a Premier League match.
