Really thrilled with the comeback. Thought we dominated and deserved to win. I have to say though, I’ve never felt so disenchanted with the rules of the game. Played myself for years and not sure I understand the rules as they stand. VAR adds nothing to the game for me.

Not at the races here. Passing looks awful and no fluency so far.

Perspective. Been a massive week getting to the cup final and another point in the bank. We looked flat and leggy at times but not really surprising. Gordon looks sharp and should add options up front. Good test away at Bournemouth next so nothing to worry about in this performance.

Can’t remember who it was that came on in the city v Liverpool game in the week but it was their first appearance since the community shield after a thigh injury. Sounds like the same sort of timeframe.
