Agreed, watched it back and it seems his first instinct was that he could catch it and then he just sort of changed his mind a moment too late and palmed it straight out instead of pushing it out to the side. Massive save on the penalty though.

Definately prefer this ref to the cnut at Villa who gave a free kick for every single dive Villa made.

Dissapointed we didn’t score from open play, and that we couldn’t hold on once we went ahead, but with the start we had to the game it could have been much much worse. Two immense home games now, and I’m absolutely buzzing to be over for the Brighton game next week.

Hasn’t Tripps played 90 mins almost every game? He looks exhausted, and lost his mojo with set pieces as well. Still love him mind.

Does anyone know if you can bring a shirt to the club shop and only buy the printing?( I have an official shirt from last season without print)

Well deserved, they’ve been all over Chelsea.

It’s just so random, Schär getting kicked in the face, VAR doesn’t even react, Isak today, they spend 3 minutes looking at the replay from every angle they can find. It’s too inconsistent.

Isak in the post match interview on swedish coverage saying the team spirit and togetherness is unlike anything he’s ever experienced at this level. Reporter; ”where will this end?” isak; ”Well, you all know what we are fighting for, and that’s Champions league. This was a huge win and step in that direction”

Did really well with the header for the willock goal, clearly searching for a pass rather than a goal. ”Old” Maxi would have headed that on goal, straight into the palms of De Gea.

Is that the system used in world cup? With the computer rendered players?

At least not the usual 0-5 humping, but by gawd we have a long way to go before we can challenge the top teams over a season.
-
Yeah, time to put things in some perspective, we are punching waaay above our weight, and eventhough results lately have been somewhat frustrating we need to remember where We’re coming from. Anything better than 11th (if I remember correctly) is progress. The squad needs improvement if top 4 should be realistic, it is still really thin. Howay the lads!

Have I missed something? Are there any concrete rumours about Gordon from decent sources worthy of this panic? ?
-
He’s always solid for Sweden, but his club career has been pretty miserable since going abroad. Keeps getting back up gigs.

Haha yeah I know, we haven’t booked any travel yet due to this, only the tickets for the game. ? Hope to god we make to Wembley now, really want to see us in a final again. And cause plane tickets will be bloody expensive if we still have to book them for 25th feb after the semis ? Not used to having to check for cup final dates yet. ?

Growing up in Sweden in the 80’s and early 90’s you could only see one game per week on the saturday. It was always different teams and internet wasn’t a thing either of course so it was difficult to get attached to a team. You basically saw the table and result in the paper. Then sometime in the mid 90’s a company started showing more games as the PL was adapted for Tv audience with more games at different times. That coincided with the Keegan days and the entertainers, and that was it. I was hooked on the fantastic kits, the football, the goals, the beatiful but ragged industrial city. internet became a house hold thing also around 95-96 and I started reading about Super Mac, Jackie Milburn, the ship yards, the Tyne bridge, the blaydon races. Even wrote an essay on Newcastle upon Tyne in English class in high school. Now in my 40’s I have been to Newcastle 3 times, and i’m going again for the Brighton game. I can easily say I support Newcastle United more than any team in Sweden. I think that’s quite common for my generation. * *not NUFC but an English team

You’re allowed to use your head, chest and thigh without it being a back pass. -
Really, really difficult, I love them all. Picked Miggy cause of the redemption arc.

Really strange with Big Jow on the bench, if not injured surely he starts?
