Well deserved, they’ve been all over Chelsea.

It’s just so random, Schär getting kicked in the face, VAR doesn’t even react, Isak today, they spend 3 minutes looking at the replay from every angle they can find. It’s too inconsistent.

Alexander Isak: has a chance to play against Everton (Howe)
ShakaHislop replied to Disco's topic in Football
Isak in the post match interview on swedish coverage saying the team spirit and togetherness is unlike anything he’s ever experienced at this level. Reporter; ”where will this end?” isak; ”Well, you all know what we are fighting for, and that’s Champions league. This was a huge win and step in that direction” -
Allan Saint-Maximin (now playing for Fenerbahce, on loan from Al-Ahli)

Did really well with the header for the willock goal, clearly searching for a pass rather than a goal. ”Old” Maxi would have headed that on goal, straight into the palms of De Gea. -
Is that the system used in world cup? With the computer rendered players?

At least not the usual 0-5 humping, but by gawd we have a long way to go before we can challenge the top teams over a season.
-
Yeah, time to put things in some perspective, we are punching waaay above our weight, and eventhough results lately have been somewhat frustrating we need to remember where We’re coming from. Anything better than 11th (if I remember correctly) is progress. The squad needs improvement if top 4 should be realistic, it is still really thin. Howay the lads!

Have I missed something? Are there any concrete rumours about Gordon from decent sources worthy of this panic? ?
-
He’s always solid for Sweden, but his club career has been pretty miserable since going abroad. Keeps getting back up gigs.

Haha yeah I know, we haven’t booked any travel yet due to this, only the tickets for the game. ? Hope to god we make to Wembley now, really want to see us in a final again. And cause plane tickets will be bloody expensive if we still have to book them for 25th feb after the semis ? Not used to having to check for cup final dates yet. ?

Growing up in Sweden in the 80’s and early 90’s you could only see one game per week on the saturday. It was always different teams and internet wasn’t a thing either of course so it was difficult to get attached to a team. You basically saw the table and result in the paper. Then sometime in the mid 90’s a company started showing more games as the PL was adapted for Tv audience with more games at different times. That coincided with the Keegan days and the entertainers, and that was it. I was hooked on the fantastic kits, the football, the goals, the beatiful but ragged industrial city. internet became a house hold thing also around 95-96 and I started reading about Super Mac, Jackie Milburn, the ship yards, the Tyne bridge, the blaydon races. Even wrote an essay on Newcastle upon Tyne in English class in high school. Now in my 40’s I have been to Newcastle 3 times, and i’m going again for the Brighton game. I can easily say I support Newcastle United more than any team in Sweden. I think that’s quite common for my generation. * *not NUFC but an English team

You’re allowed to use your head, chest and thigh without it being a back pass. -

The Sky clip said ”all matches under FA organization” and then a whole lot of competitions where mentioned, but not PL? I’m still bricking it until officially confirmed by PL or the club. ? -

Eddie Howe - Nominated for Manager of the Season

100% this, same with other team’s fans. Not so fun anymore without little old Newcastle, plucky loveable losers with off field drama, non existing competitevness and sportsdirectarena@stjames or whatever that abomination was called. Embrace the hate, it means we’ve rattled them. -
Welling up here, love these players. Fantastic result and performance. We really took it to them.
