Hypothetically if we sold Maxi for 40 million, that would be a massive ffp boost surely? He can’t have much left on the books so that would be 30/35 million profit surely, could get another tonali for those figures. (He is 11 million a season)

It is odd though how it was all but done nearly 10 days ago but no announcement. We like to drag our feet.
for example Liverpool with Szob was all wrapped up in 48 hours

Mate at work reckons Joshua Kimmich is incoming. Thinks he’s an ITK.
He did get Isak right like 🫣
I’d say bullshit.
I’d call bullshit too, surely too expensive both fee and wages?

If we are going to sign someone from arsenal I’d be looking at Smith-Rowe

If in 2 years trippier is retired and Tino is first choice RB, Ashby may well be good enough to be 2nd choice - if not we can probably move him on at no loss, possibly a profit

TransferChecker belongs in the Twitter Nonsense thread.
He’s more reliable than most of the journos that get quoted in here

I imagine willock and big Joe will interchange down the left as usual and then Bruno and tonali will interchange between the 6/8 position throughout the match

Has the numpty deleted those? Can't find them.
Yeah, that’s the worst bit about him, can’t admit when he’s got it wrong just deletes it and carries on. He’s outrageous

Yes it is, it’s very simple, Chelsea have an awful lot of ‘big name players’ that they want to offload, and Saudi want a lot of big name players for their league.
it’s an unfortunate coincidence and nothing more.

We’d sign Maddison and play him right wing? Has he played right wing? It actually feels like a waste of a creative midfielder tbh
It’s only RW on paper, we all know Almiron doesn’t play on the touch line he is much more inverted with Trippier giving the width.
-
Baffled by some of the talk about Maddison, he would immediately be one of our best players if he does sign.
presumably will take Almirons position and will be one hell of an upgrade.

What a goal. Sign him up

Unfortunately it’ll just be like the Chinese league and players taking a last pension fund, the big clubs will be rubbing their hands at the chance to get rid of big earners near the end of their contract.
Ruben neves is in his prime though, could be the first of many

Wonder if UEFA and co will review FFP when they see that there are top players in their prime moving to a league which has next to no pedigree.
Hopefully. PIF playing 4d chess

Saudi league has no ffp

I imagine if Maddison signs he will take the RW position

Sorry I have to take issue with that. When a player gets his own thread I think it's understood that the move is imminent. The likes of me who refuse to watch youtube videos unless it's on, get lured in and all excited watching the skills and boss ability. We start dreaming of Barella in a black and white shirt. We don't want to open the thread and hear that we are nowhere near a deal, and he might piss off to Liverpool.
To be fair to the thread starter, the wording of the original headline and Edwards tweet had a similar feel to when the news of Isak broke and that was confirmed by Ornstein within half an hour, so I can see why a thread was started.
other clubs forums have a separate area for transfers specifically, maybe we can get one on here?

The utility of playing Burn at LB is that it allows us to play a back 3 when Trips pushes up to essentially play RM. I don’t know if that’s by design…does Howe truly want one “CB in FB’s clothing”, while the other FB joins the attack? Or is it to make the most of the players that we have? With relatively unlimited resources, how would Howe have us set up?
Maybe an out and out DM to sit in between the two CBS, and both FBs pushing forward?

A well respected ITK on Knees Up Mother Brown (West Ham seem to have loads of them) seems to think we're talking to Johnathon Tah.
Link please?

Personally I think every football club should do that as far as they possibly can.
In an ideal world I would agree, but in the age of FFP increasing our revenue streams is extremely important

No doubt in my mind that Isak is number 1 striker. Love Wilson mind, but Isak is next level and our future
