James Maddison (now playing for Tottenham Hotspur)

I can't i'm at work -
compared to the teams around us we're competing with now - we don't create half as much commercial revenue as they do. Man U is a global brand with their fingers in a lot of pies, hell they even have a range of Man U Tractors somewhere, Liverpool are also massive with a few seasons europe / CL money etc now and we all know when Man City do. We're just not anywhere near them in terms of incoming yet.

Agreed, that was a stupid comment I’m glad you replied to meaning I don’t have to.
-
Agreed - cannot believe how anyone whose not a fan wants them to do well.
-
And that’s just over the table
-
And the 115 law breaks whilst we’re trying to do everything right? You’ve made your peace with that being rewarded?
-
Can’t stand the thought of cheating bastards winning this mind.
-
He just looks knackered to me.
-
Here - I was born in wallsend
-
So you want just the five players then?
-
Ffp is based on a rolling three year basis and we’ve spent more now with last two windows so that will be why we have less (if we do). Said it a few times now - these owners have a long term plan they don’t seem to deviate from so I feel a lot of people will be hugely disappointed at the end of this window.
-
Didn’t somebody post that £75m is misleading because say we buy somebody for £60m over 5 years then that’s only £12m out of the £75m kitty?

It’s still more proof than I could find of him supposedly being an arsenal fan. -
for conversations sake, let's say we did spend that - will you be disappointed or accepting that we don't have all of the information and the owners have a longer term plan in place you still trust?
-
No - I genuinely think this is the window where people are gonna be disappointed the most with our spending.

sorry mate but i think that's grasping. Besides it's reported he supported Man U as a child Maddison in Man U colours -
Arsenal reporting wanting more than £30m for Tierney - don't think that will happen either, for me his injury record was a red flag anyway.

They need to get a manager in first -
isn't the ffp a rolling 3 year profit process (I get i'm simplifying it) but on top of that sure I read somewhere we posted a £105m profit last season before takeover. Using those as a very rough estimate, we haven't got masses of amounts to spend and will want to spend it conservatively as well I feel.
-
I completely agree with the Gordon thing but Howe has said he was a long term target and came available (sure I read that somewhere but my apologies if I just made it up). If he's not prepared to divvy up an extra £5m on Maddison then it must be an age / long term thing as that's all I can think if. The guy got 10 from 30 this season and 12 from 35 last season so will chip in with decent goal tally for us.
-
is it though? Leicester turned down our £40m last season as too little and continued to turn down all Tielemans offers until he left for nothing whilst stating they can't rebuild as there's no money to rebuild. Since the helicopter crash it seems there's been a lot of bad calls at Leicester (I live there and am surrounded by the news and fans etc). The general feeling is this guy isn't the businessman his father was.
-
if they want £50m I don't think it will happen personally, we didn't offer it last year and I feel we won't this year either. I reckon he'll end up at Spurs.

And I’ll genuinely be happy for you
