So that’s Watkins on 14 now this season, we need to get him signed in the summer. Him, rice and a decent LB that Howe will play would be a good window for me.

Momentum vs complacency - if we go about this defeat the right way and address the weak points like burn etc ready for the spurs game then some good could come out of it. Disagree - the West Ham game was a great clinical performance and the Brentford game - beating them at home is something only I’ us and arsenal have done, and we should have had a penalty in that game.

Villa don’t fall apart unfortunately - in their last six games they’ve won five and drew one. If we win this it will have to be on us because there will be no gimmies here. Still - I’ll take 6 points out of these last three away games, especially if we can bounce back and beat spurs.

You’re right time will tell but from the outside looking in it seems Brighton have designed a setup to have no single point of failure the best they can and I believe they’ll be fine.

The last four times Sunderland met Luton it’s ended in a 1 - 1 draw and they also beat boro so if they were to scrape it in then there is a very good chance they win it, they certainly won’t be scared of anyone anyway.

My bad but if Blackburn win their game in hand then their 7 behind 5th so that’s gone which just leaves 6th. You have a milwall on 62, Preston on 62, Norwich on 61 and Coventry on 59 (should have been 61 as they were robbed of a penalty today). That’s a lot of teams to overtake with only 15 points to play for.

It’s gonna take a lot of wheels to come off a lot of other teams for Sunderland to overtake enough teams to get one of them remaining two places (one if Blackburn win their game in hand). Sunderland’s season is all but finished now.
