Harsh - first wood now people are turning on burn, these players came in and kept us up easily - putting in amazing performances for us, just because we’re signing better players now - don’t go putting burn down. Both burn and botman will be our best two left footed cb’s and its good to have 2 in every position, we now have it with keeper and will with this so that’s how I choose to see these 2 signings.

Wow - some peoples expectations are mental ffs

Everyone has been saying this year it’s different, “ffp now has teeth” was one quote, no coincidence it was brought it after our takeover so if we ignore it we will get punished.

I was afraid people would expect half a dozen players every window after January.

I believe Newcastle said they will spend £200m in the first year just this morning and we’ve already spent £115m (taking £10m for pope) so roughly (very) about £85m left. Say Hugo and botman went through that’s not a lot left

Ffp is very real this year, people need to stop thinking “we’re the richest club in the world etc” and we need a cb, rw and hopefully cm still

Fully agree but we also need to make sure we don’t hit the top end of ffp just yet as we seriously need to offload and bring more advertising revenue. All things considered I’d be delighted with a top half finish and keep buying sensible players to strengthen but going for top draw players even though for next few seasons they’re going to turn us down most of the time.

We haven’t got the budget for 2 strikers I don’t think, we still have other positions to fill.

As much as I trust the club and their signings- this one worried me anyway as I think he’s too inexperienced after just one season in a less stressful league and the thought of him being our main man when Wilson gets injured (and he will) isn’t a jolly thought.
