Moving from Italy to Newcastle must be a huge culture shock in itself, let alone for someone who is more reserved. Then, factor in his lack of English, which is probably made worse by living in an area that's got a heavier accent and more colloquial language. Then, as most have pointed out, he's playing in a different set up, in a different position, in a vastly different league. Rather than berate him, give up on him or dismiss him as being sub-par, I'd like to see our fan base go the other way. I'd love to see a big Wor Flags effort for when Milan come over here. Great performance and very happy that he got the opportunity to lead Newcastle out on a night like that. Well deserved. A proper club player. Never complained once (not least in the public eye) and hasn't put a foot wrong when called upon.

Oh wow. So happy for the city, the fans, the people on this forum, the players and the coaching staff. Over the moon for Longstaff and Burn. As an "adopted Geordie", coming to the city of Newcastle since the age of 5 and loving this football club more than anything, I can't even imagine the pride you would feel scoring a goal for your home club on a night like this, in front of your family. Can't work in the morning like. I'm in bits. Tonight the realisation PROPERLY set in that I truly have MY club back. Tonight was a fairy tale. It took me back to 2002, when I was a 11-12 year old lad. To the club I adore, to the heroes I cherish and to a time I'm so fond of. A magical night. We've truly awoken the giant.
