  1. He can play RW or in defence to be fair. Not sure how he'd cope on grass as opposed to ice, though.
  2. this. it's an absolute joke. what is funny, is that when we finally break into the top 4 through fantastic signings (bruno, 81m back 5, Eddie Howe, DOF, CEO etc) we will get the "how could they not with the money they have?!" Just like the media couldn't fail to mention we spent 80M in January to jump from 19th to mid-table....
  3. Apologies if already posted but Kompany to Burnley confirmed.
  4. more on the move too. interesting.
  5. My post was half serious (still think he can do a job), but half tongue in cheek. In fairness, he may end up at Villa.
  6. Luis Suarez?? To share the workload with Wilson? 2 year deal?
  7. Fair play. someone's making some decent decisions there. Everyone has a budget and they're using theirs fairly effectively.
  8. Not that fussed but it could also be a ploy to drive down prices and set market expectation etc. Who knows...!
  9. If Pep guarantees him 80%+ of game time now Fernandinho is heading out the door, fair enough. But even with him out the picture, he's got to find a way to get in ahead of Rodri, Dias, KDB...
  10. I suppose money and trophies talk, but as a young English player I'd be extremely apprehensive about joining City. Admittedly I dont watch City every week, but would he be guaranteed first team football every week?? Are Foden, Grealish, etc playing over 80% of the time?
  11. Yep - both real valid points. I do think it'll be c.150m net, closer to 175m total. I was focussing on the earlier posts stating that 200m would count towards 68m or so in FFP terms? I could honestly see it being this high IF the right players come along (i.e. Phillips, Paqueta, Botman etc). My guestimate considers triggering Targett's 12m fee (we've already paid 3m?). I don't think we're in the run in for Raphina to be honest, and don't see us paying 30-40m for Henderson, personally -- despite the rumours. Given the above we'd be looking at: GB - 25m LB - 12m CB - 30m CM - 35m Winger/AM - 40m CF - 30m (rumoured Ekitike fee) All pie in the sky until we get 1 or 2 signatures and we can see the way we're heading. Still, it's great fun to be in this position!
  12. Can see c.150m being spent on: A GK A LB A CB A CM A Winger A CF That leaves us plenty of wiggle room next year if we qualify for Europa League and probably allows us to move 7-8 on and have a decent enough 25 man squad.
  13. He can't string a sentence together, but that's no indication he's hammered,,, appreciate he was, but he's thick as shit!! I wouldn't be arsed about a dig from a bloke who can't find his hometown on a map of the UK and asked "Oh, is that England?"
  14. if anyone is sat enjoying the game... please can you help a guy out?
  15. No No No !!! We had a 4 week transfer window in January and with a ceiling on transfer targets. I was buzzing. Let's see what they can do with 10 and premier league safety!! It's going to be mad. We will be linked with every man and his dog.
  16. aye but actually prefer it. better to see a few tackles and an edge to a game than players rolling on the floor like fannies.
  17. Bruno just dicking around. they can't get near him. 2 steps ahead...
  18. Surprised those meerkats haven't been sanctioned yet. Sort it out Boris #No2for1CinemaTickets
  19. On the plus side, some players like Murphy, Almiron, Lascelles are fighting for their squad places next season and a good showing here today may give Howe something to think about. They won't get too many more opportunities.
  20. Shows our lack of depth and the requirement to invest again, which I'm sure we will. The aim now for me has to be getting rid of the likes of Clark, Lascelles, Longstaff, Fernandez, Murphy, Almiron etc and replacing them with quality XI, so that players like Schar/Burn can be our 3rd choice CB. The same as Shelvey in CM.
  21. I completely appreciate that people want to say that our recent performances are down to key players like Trippier who have raised the bar. Yes, he's undeniably class, but for me it says a lot more about Howe and the coaching staff. He's had a few weeks to drill them in terms of shape, positioning and tactics. 10 points in 12 and results when playing players who should be nowhere near the first team, IMO. He's taking us in the right direction and the players are buying in.
  22. Commentators just talking about Krafth playing well, being a good deupty for Trippier and not letting Howe down. Christ! What do they watch
  23. All started by some fantastic composure by Burn, playing it back in field to Shelvey as opposed to hoofing it. Subtle differences a confident, calm CB can bring...
