Really dont think this describes the situation AT THE MOMENT. You cant say he is getting peak performances out of the likes of Joelinton, Bruno, Isak, Gordon etc. They have all looked like world beaters before, but all look lost atm. Yes it was Howe that lifted them all up to their potential, but even so we know that they have it and Eddie isnt getting it out of them AT THE MOMENT. I personally think we have looked lost for a while even though the results were pretty good at the end of last year. I sincerely hope he does turn it around and it would really hurt to see him leave, honestly. Im not that sure that the owners are FULLY behind Eddie, dont think we would have seen the summer turned out the way it did if they were.

Looks just fine for what we brought him in for, being a backup CB/LB. We needed more depth there.

Its a bit annoying when some of you act like the criticism is coming out of one loss. Its been 6 games in a row now with poor performances, and its a continuation of what we saw from the majority of games from the last 6 months last season. Given his overall history its far to early to give up on him, but certainly not to early to get some doubts whether he can turn it around.

Dont even want to think about how depressing shit would look without Barnes.

Im behind him aswell, but not unconditionally anymore. Id say the performances we have seen for quite some time now is not ahead (far from it) of where we should be, even if the results are good enough. Last year could be excused by injuries, now he has to step it up. Really hope he(we) will.

Not sure if thats true. Barnes, Tonali, Gordon and Livramento are all great additions.

He was pretty good late on last season. But inconsistent for quite some time other than that yeah.
