Rotate is a little bit different than using substitutes. With the amount of games coming up he is going to have to get used to rotations though, even in defense like it or not. Atleast when it comes to Burn who showed signs of exhaustion at the end of last season.

We didnt have a an option on RB to sub Tripps with, sentral defenders never get subbed ofc. Doesnt look to me that he mind subbing Burn when he did it 10 times in the premier league last year. With such a prospect like Hall on the bench i would think he would mind it even less. And Hall can also play in other positions.

Looked shit for a long time now. Sounds stupid, but I swear that their good run last season was mostly down to luck and VAR. They really didnt look that good.

Can see him starting 20+ games this season in all competitions. Also coming in as a substitute in most of the games.

Lascelles will work this year, next signings will probably be a quality(and expensive) RCB and RW who are good enough to replace Schär and Almiron over time. Im fine with those positions not getting prioritized this window.

With them playing in the midweek, De Bruyne out and a non-settled defence we wont find a better time to play them. If we manage to get an early lead I think we should have a good chance keeping it with our strong counterattack. Just dont give Haaland an inch.
