Amen. Selling Minteh was a no-brainer. Got a lot of profit for a player that never played for us. Selling Gordon would with hindsight obviously be the right decision, but not easy to see that at the time. Letting our local lad go that cheap hurts though, especially when he thrived straight away at his new club.

I might be too critical towards Eddie in your eyes, but I'd never stoop so low as to compare him with Southgate.

Not bad coaching, but limited. He is great at what he can do, but until he proves otherwise I'm going to be sceptical that can be successful managing a side that plays twice a week. While I certainly disagree that we are just 3 points from were we should be, it's not really the results that bother me, but the performances. So damn low quality in many(if not most of them) and we are straight up boring to watch. I don't want to sack him in the middle of the season, he alteast deserve to play it out considering his achievements here.

But it's his team that he has spent a lot of money on over a long time? I think tactically we certainly don't look like a well coached team atm. Most of the time we look lost when we don't have the energy needed to play with intensity.

First time Man Utd won without Bruno since 2022, second clean sheet of the season. -
Don't think he has it in him to cope with it. He relies on an intensive playstyle with more or less the same players playing every week. Not something that gells with playing in Europe, no matter how much you plan for it.

We already got that trophyless monkey of our back. It's fine to go for it if we don't have Europe. But not something to prioritize when we have a packed schedule. -

Really don't get why we didn't just use the youngsters in the league cup this season. Pretty obvious we didn't have the squad (with the intensity we need to have to not be shit) to challenge in everything. And it's only going to get worse with the schedule ahead. -

Nah, I just expect us to be decent without it. -

They did think the Reece challenge on Barnes was though. -

Nah, on the broadcast where I'm from they were all thinking that it wasn't (I disagree). -

People keep saying that the 2nd was just an unlucky stumble, but how did he get the time to challenge for the ball near the sidelane, head it up in the air and still be alone on goal without anyone from us coming back? -

I thought it was a good game by us. If we could keep that intensity up every game we would be a good team. But we can't, and we aren't. -

It's not a red because Barnes wouldn't get the ball. Should have been a FK, but that's not a VAR thing. -

Never been more frustrated by Elanga than when he missed that easy pass. He had two clear options. -

Think it's a pen, but far from the clearest I've seen. Expected VAR not to overturn it tbh. -

Fantastic strike, but you can't let in goals from that distance. -

Here I am thinking we are more fucked than ever with Hall and Livramento getting injured 😅 -
Miley being shoved to the RB would be the worst case scenario for me. We look better when he plays in CM. It's not his natural position. Will require not giving Tonali the rest he needs.

Having a hard tlme grasping how we could cope with another two semi-final games if we get through. Going to be two games a week until the end of February or something. Already stretched thin in defense. -
Can it really be considered bad form when it has been lasting for one and a half season? You rarely see this from great players, until proven otherwise I'm just going to assume that his first full season with us was the outlier and what we are seeing now is mostly what we are going to get. It has been what he showed at Everton, its been what he showed at us when he first arrived, and it's been what we"ve been seeing the last year and a half. A talented player with glimpses of excellency, but for the most part, an unproductive one.
